So, I’d just had a morning hanging off helicopters saving the city from an Eastern European gang of criminals. And I was desperately in need of a coffee. I had a bit of time to kill before I had to meet my out of touch chief of police to explain the wide-scale(But necessary) damage to the city when I came across this place. Friendly staff, exceptionally friendly, in fact. Really tasty coffee and really reasonably priced. Visited the next day and they had remembered my order! Since then I’ve been in every day for months. The staff are always cool as is the vibe in general. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. I would say I love the place if I was capable of loving anything more than the job of police work and saving lives. Honestly though this place is a cracking find and absolutely worth a visit to drop in for something a little different and consistently friendly and excellent service. Highly recommended.

My fav café! Great environment served by such friendly and welcoming people. The coffee is Colombian(need I say more) and the food is South Americian, something a little different to try. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. Go check it out!

Unlike many cafés in Surry Hills, this place is not pretentious. It is what it is. Meaning the vibe here is awesome. This is a little Colombian themed café. The coffee here is Colombian Single Origin, which I was expecting to be bitter — look so many Colombian beans are. However, this was a very smooth cup of coffee. I was hoping for a serious dark and bitter bean, but putting my preconceptions aside, this was a good cup of coffee. The food here is simple and the menu is limited. But if you like Latin flavours — which I do — then give it a go.

The lively Latina vibe here is contagious. It’s of those places that make a coffee routine more than just that. It’s a warming experience — and one I’d happily wake up to most mornings. Coffee is Colombia single origin and a regular is $ 3. Olé! If you want your morning coffee with some Latin passion, Café con Leche is where to find it.

This cute little box of a café has caught my eye when driving many times. Every time I’ve been driving home after having breakfast and have ‘Oooh’ed and pointed, «We should go there next time!» So finally, I made my way to the cushioned café across from the Cricketers Arms. Hungry for breakfast, I was slightly disappointed to find that the shop only offered a limited menu — croissants, ham & cheese toasties($ 6.50), scrambled or boiled eggs on toast($ 8.50), muesli($ 8.50) or fruit salad($ 6.50). Ill prepared for deciding between such a limited menu, I opted instead just to try their coffee, a single origin Columbia. The coffee was quite nice and I could probably come back here to meet a friend again, thanks to the quaint nature of the shop. The lunch menu is similarly limited, but they have Columbian specials that look delicious — the man next to us was eating something both highly interesting and appealing that wasn’t on the menu. I got the feeling that he’d whispered a Spanish request to the owner and this was the result. With vibrant Columbian themed furnishings(bright yellow couches on a bench exposed by bi-fold windows) and lots of cool stuff littered around the shop, I recommend you come in and brush up on your Spanish — and if you do, please find out what that guy next to me had for lunch.

I absolutely loved this little café! It’s snug but tastefully decorated to make it seem more spacious, though sadly there isn’t any outdoor seating. The Colombian owners are new and bring a lovely Colombian twist to your standard café fare(scrambled eggs with chorizo for example! Yum!). They also spin out some baked favourites like muffins and croissants, making this a very delectable lunch spot. As is to be expected with anything Colombian related, the coffee is fantastic too. They’ve created such a community atmosphere in here with their friendly approach to service that I probably spend an unhealthy amount of time hanging around!

Nestled in a busy side street of Surry Hills, this Colombian inspired café run by a vibrant and charismatic Colombian immigrant, after 10 years in Australia, his new café is doing a bustling trade, and he could’t be happier. This isn’t the Colombian-Australian rendition to adhere to local tastes, this is the true age old recipes, such as Corn dog style Envuelto’s wrapped in the corn husk and cooked over an open flame. The coffee is to die for, using imported Colombian coffee beans, and served with a Colombian accent, either by the owner or his Colombian wait staff. This small café, seats around 10 people, and I guarantee everyone who walks in their for the first time, becomes a life-long customer, if you don’t fall in love with the food, music and vibe, you’ll fall for the coffee.
