Cozy place on Crown Street. Intimate settings. Slightly pretentious but very attentive service. Food is good. A bit pricey but I think that’s the norm for everything in Sydney?

Like most of the Unilocalers here, i also dined at watts on Crown via an online voucher. it was crazy savings — 50% off thru lunch alot. Dont know if it still exists, but it was a great meal. Had some sliders(kangaroo), wine, good service, delicious mains. This is a place worth coming back to!

My partner and I came here using an online deal for a three course dinner with a glass of wine. The atmosphere is lovely, we sat downstairs and there are some cool white masks on one of the walls and a half-sized bar along the opposite wall. Our waiter did an amazing job, giving us time to contemplate the menu before taking our order and then checking in with us at various points throughout the evening to check everything was ok. He was helpful but not intrusive. The entrees took a while to come out which was a surprise as it wasn’t busy, but once they came the rest of the meal was well timed. For entrée we had the grilled quail with eggplant ragout, chorizo and crisp basil and a blue cheese soufflé, for mains we both had the steak and for dessert we had the chocolate fondant with vanilla bean ice cream and nut caramel and a honeycomb and cheesecake and chocolate biscuit concoction. All the dishes were really well presented and delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

Great food! We bought an online voucher for dinner here as it was recommended by a friend and we decided to give the restaurant a try. The service was great as the wait staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. I had the Char grilled rump steak with Café de Paris butter as the main(cooked medium rare) and it was delicious. My favorite item for that meal was the dessert where we had chocolate fondant, which I highly recommend. It’s like a chocolate pudding with rich warm chocolate sauce on the inside which oozes out of the pudding when you cut into it. Another thing worth noting is that on the day that we were there, a Friday evening(6pm) with 2 other tables on the ground floor, the appetizer took around 30 minutes to arrive, which is slightly longer than normal. Other than that, Great Food!

I would give this 4.5 star if I could. I had an amazing main meal of roasted pork belly with sweet potato mash, cavio nero and a rosemary, for entrée I had grilled quail with Moroccan eggplant ragout, chorizo and crisp basil, then to complete the meal I had an amazing chocolate fondant which oozes with melted chocolate in the middle. Although I was there with a group of 6 people and when we arrived we never received any service and had to get the attention from the waiter so we could order our meal. Apart from the poor service, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Went here with a group of friends. We were eager to eat here given the rave reviews we had heard. Overall the ambience and service were good. The food was solid but nothing to rave about – especially given the price. :(

Tonight we used a Travel Zoo voucher to dine at this lovely little restaurant. The service was great, menu featured a good variety of meal options and the food was delicious. The highlight was the chicken liver pâté and the chocolate fondont, oh and the Grenache Shiraz. Would definitely recommend this place for a romantic dinner.

Overall pretty good. Came across this place as all the other brekky spots on crown street were booked, and pretty happy we found it. I had their breakfast club sandwich and it was delicious, although it came out a bit cold. My girlfriend and mates food came out cold too, which is a shame cause other than that I reckon it would have been a winner!

Watts on Crown is bistro style fine-dining, without the ego. Food is excellent — European, produce-driven dishes with thoughtful presentation. I slurped every last drop of the Spanish-French seafood stew. The poached pear caramel dessert has become a bit of a house specialty; just order it and you’ll know why. Our waitress was all smiles. She attended to our table so well; refilling our glasses, explaining the menu, checking up on us without being all up in our business. For such a quality evening, the prices are really accessible. There’s no hype or wanky reservation policy either. Watts on Crown are quietly kicking goals. It feels like a local secret(for now). One of my favourite things about Watts is that you can choose the style of your night. Fond of a lively dining room? Sit downstairs by the bar. Want people watching? Get a spot outside. Dining for a special occasion? Upstairs is roomy, you’ll have«your own space».

Very good service and nice décor. Perfect for a romantic night out. I enjoyed the food although nothing special. I had ravioli and polenta chips.

This small restaurant has an elegant décor and a well thought menu. Vegetarian options(the only ones I tried) were very good. The polenta fries are a must. Service is professional and welcoming.

Came here about a week ago. The food was absolutely amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever had such a good steak, and the olive and bread entrée was superb. Definitely check it out. The chef there was one of the main chefs at rockpool, and you can see why by the quality of the food and the preparation.

I had been quite curious to try this place. It opened up where Chilli Alchemy used to be on Crown Street. The food was lovely, but nothing else about it really impressed us. The brunch menu was actually not huge. Maybe 7 – 8 items. I had the french toast which was extremely delicious. Perfect mix of eggy and soft toast without being soggy. Love that. Service was unmemorable and atmosphere was fine. I’d be curious to come back for dinner and try more of the menu items. I’d say overall an A-OK first impression and well worth another visit in the future.
