Angry Birds has apparently gotten so popular that there are restaurants that take their name after it… like Angry Chicken. Found in that shady little laneway next to Albion Place Hotel and Event Cinemas, this place is predicated on their Korean Fried Chicken, so I had to try it. Their menu declares that everything is under $ 10(awesome) and there are several varieties of chicken to choose from: normal, sweet & spicy, sweet soy, garlic, or super spicy. You can also add some green onions to cleanse your palate for $ 3 more. The not awesome part is that each sauce is an additional $ 3, so unless you get original you will be spending $ 13 per order. Each order is a half order and gives you 6 pieces, so it’s a decent deal. How’s the chicken? Just OK… we ordered the sweet & spicy, garlic, and super spicy. The pieces were slightly dry, but with a good crispiness. The pieces also look like they’re from rejected chickens, which was not awesome. Garlic is pretty good, as was the sweet & spicy. The super spicy was no joke… this is FREAKINGSPICY! I was sweating bullets. You get bang for the buck here and more variety than Arisun or NaruOne in regards to chicken, but the chicken is bigger and better quality at NaruOne and you get more at Arisun if you put it all together. For $ 39 for 18 pieces isn’t bad though, plus they gave us a free coke. I’d come here again if someone asked to go, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.
