HUGE sandwiches! It was the size of my face! Especially loved the bread. Nice & soft. Had a long queue of people from local businesses but the queue moved pretty fast.

The Bread is huge! I like backed in foil, so I don’t have to have it on train. It is still warm when I arrive in office, half hour later.

I’m not a huge sandwhich fan but I was thrilled when I saw how much filling there was inside! They serve very large portions wrapped in foil — a big surprise! You’ll definitely need to eat it over 2 sittings. I ordered the ginger chicken with salad wrap which was basic but that was what I wanted. There’s a range of options and you can choose what you like!

When you grow up sandwiches are a staple in every kids diet. Taken for granted perhaps. We are used to ham and cheese or peanut butter and jelly. Sandwiches aren’t in my usual lunch selections anymore but sometimes you get a craving and I wanted to explore the best options Sydney offers. BANGBANG I FOUNDIT. Never came across this place before. Unknown to the average street walker. All the office workers are keeping this one quiet I think. The menu is very large and plenty of options from vegetarian to fish options and all the meats too. Even have daily specials and the option for a wrap or salad too. Everything is $ 10. This is money well spent when you see the size of the sandwich. It’s enough for two definitely. I chose turkey sandwich. Delicious with cranberry sauce and succulent tomatoes and greens with mayo. After the first bite you won’t want to split the sandwich. Best idea is to go halves with someone and enjoy the great tastes of two. This sandwich is so big I only managed the first half but gonna go for seconds very soon and can’t wait. Staff are very friendly and even seen one of the guys giving another customer a sample from one of the specials . If only I worked in the city I would make this my regular spot but I will be back for sure.

Thank The Lord for my big hands. Been coming here for years and this time was no different. The Sandwich comes in a makeshift plate of foil and takes both hands to hold. With sandwiches being mainly disappointing in Sydney. Here and Monty’s in Bondi Junction are the last ones standing. I get the roasted vegetable which is everything and roasted vegetables. Their bread is like 2 clouds with crispy edges. It’s has basil aioli and potato salad with the roasted veges surrounded by garden salad options(lettuce, tomato and cucumber). No complaint. Just a constant and regularly forgotten personal issue. Wish I’d asked for the potato salad on the side tho. Keep forgetting. Makes it heavy and messy. The only thing I missed was a pickle and some chips. Would’ve been exactly like New York. The best taste, value and service lunch in Sydney hands down

Have you got small, squirrel-like hands? If you do then I’m sorry but this review is not for you, please leave now. Okay, they’re gone. It’s just us bear-pawed people left. Are you holding anything? Put it down, you’ll need both hands for this. The monster sandwiches at Big Bite are simply out of control, they’re like a bunch of normal-sized sandwiches banded together to form one super-sandwich bent on eradicating hunger. It’s at least two lunches. I mean, if you can finish of these guys in one sitting you’ll be under your desk comatose for the rest of the afternoon. And for $ 10 a pop, they’re top value. Pro tip: get fresh chili added. It makes all the difference.

Unquestionably the best sandwich place in the city. The sandwiches are huge, made with care and taste great consistently. You feel like you are underpaying them at $ 10. It’s wrapped in an amazing amount of aluminium foil, which doubles as a plate if need be and as a bonus can then be satisfyingly scrunched into a ball and thrown into the closest bin as onlookers exclaim«Kobe». This is the best option for lunch, easily.

Great sandwiches and you can’t find better value. Fantastic fresh ingredients and great taste. This time(as opposed to the many other times I’ve visited this place), I had the wild oregano beef sandwich. The sauce was very tasty and fragrant, but definitely not too much in either the volume and strength. There was plenty of beef and the lettuce was very fresh. Size, as the name says, was BIG. It was enough for lunch and a snack later easily. Such size and value, you’d struggle to find it in Sydney’s CBD.

Bring your appetite or a friend when you come to Big Bite because the sandwiches are massive. Bigger than your head massive and not only that they’re pretty dang delicious too! Tucked away in a little arcade off Pitt Street, Big Bite serves massive sandwiches at a great price. They have tons of different options to choose from, but check out the schnitzel sandwich it’s yum. There can be a queue during lunch, but the line moves fast as the ladies quickly make the monster sandwiches. There’s not much seating available, but luckily Hyde Park is near by which makes for a nice lunch in the park.

Did someone say Big Bite??? ALRIGHT!!! I’ll show myself out now… after this review. Big Bite will induce sandwich haters to become sandwich lovers, it’s that kind of place. You either get a sandwich here or you gtfo, or both. Tucked away in a random arcade on Pitt Street(seriously, can you get more random than a sandwich shop, a gold jeweller, a Vodafone, and a dry cleaner/alterations shop?) this place has some of the best sandwiches in Sydney and for less than $ 10 no less. The menu is simple, the portions are massive, the food is delicious, and the service is quick and friendly. Come here during peak lunchtime and the line will most certainly be out the door. The portions are so big you could probably buy one sandwich and go halfsies with someone else. They give you a fistful of napkins to prepare for the goodness that follows. There’s a reason the line at lunch consists of mostly dudes, burly dudes, big dudes, hungry dudes, and the occasional woman with a large appetite. You come here to eat a sammich. Rare Roast Beef, Chicken Schnitzel, Turkey, Salami, Smoke Salmon, Roasted Veggies, Tuna, Poached Ginger Chicken, Grilled Chicken(Lemon or Chili), Ham, and sandwich of the day are the offerings on tap, all for $ 9.50. You seriously cannot go wrong here… unless you hate sandwiches. But just try it, because you’ll be converted.

As sandwich shops go, this place couldn’t come more highly recommended, if you don’t believe me, ask Sydney Timeout. With an extensive menu, huge portions and ginormous(I’m running out of superlatives) queues the only thing small about it is its size… and perhaps ego. The staff all go out of their way to be extremely friendly, plus it’s a run by two Greek sisters, so there’s a family warmth to the place! I’d recommend their lamb sandwich, which comes in their trademark slabs of chewy Italian bread, but be assured, any choice will be the right one here. The Big Bite brings some value back to the old school sandwich.
