Kind of a dump(not in the fun way!). The happy hour is now just house wine and tap beer, which was pretty unappealing. That said, there’s not much else in World Square! Service was fine.

Stumbled upon this place and saw they had a happy hour. Nothing exciting. You could tell the red wine bottle had been open for a month. Also, customers can smoke in the pokies room, and that really fills the place up. Surprising that this is World Square’s only bar. Regardless, it’s kind of dull.

Unilocal regular Cynthia S could not believe I have not been making the most of this little bar at World Square considering I lived so close to it. They do a daily happy hour at $ 4 for beers and $ 6 for spirits — where else can you find these prices in the heart of the city !?! It is a smallish establishment on the corner of George St and Goulburn St and it is nicely decorated. It is definitely a chill out bar where you can meet up with people, get a few drinks and have a chat. It definitely isn’t a party bar where the music is pumping and people are dancing all night. Now that I’ve discovered this establishment, I’m sure I’ll be back and seriously it’s not a bad place to hang out at all !

Been here with Cyn a coupla times now and I really enjoy the chilled laid back vibe of this eastern inspired drinking den. It’s definitely a meet ‘n’ greet bar where you can knock down some happy hour cheapies before heading to a restaurant, the cinema, or just after work before you head home. It feels very open because unlike just about every other bar in the city, it has large glass windows which are generally open, allowing natural light and breeze to permeate through the interior, so you don’t feel enclosed in. The big laughing buddha statue down the stairs greets you as you return from conducting business, and after a while of sitting around you begin to notice all the other eastern influenced décor and it dawns on you that you’ve discovered(albeit via a friend) a really cool bar to relax in.

t really is about time I reviewed this place. I’ve been coming here for a few months ever since discovering the place on my one-woman pub crawl. I was drawn in by the happy hour specials which include $ 6 Schooners of White a Rabbit Dark from 5−8pm daily. Since that night, every time I’m meeting someone in the southern CBD area I tell them to come here. The place is bright and nicely laid out. Service is friendly. I asked for a menu once and was told they don’t do food, only small plates. Confused, I left it at that. Since then I’ve glanced at the«small plates» menu on the bar and it looks interesting. Chicken wings stuffed with pork mince and calamari both caught my eye. I’m intent on trying it on a day when I don’t have impending dinner plans. Great location, clean, bright, airy bar(the whole place is lined with windows that open). I’ll keep coming as long as they give me hours of happy.
