I just ate here for lunch and can’t believe how terrible the reviews are?! They are quite old so something must have changed… I had the vegetarian phở with chicken broth and it was perfect. There were so many different veggies and the broth was light but flavorful, plus well-fried tofu and toppings. It was a huge bowl(as to be expected with phở) and I was out the door for $ 11. I did not expect such a tasty dish from a little strip-mall joint!

I tried special Phở and grilled beef vermicelli. Menu is quite limited. Unlike soup from other Phở places, it’s very salty. Normally, I add hoisin sauce to make the soup tasty. I still do have to add hoisin sauce into Phở here although the soup is already salty. Do you know why? Because hoisin sauce is very sweet here. The beef is not really special. Overall, I’m quite disappointed at Phở. Grilled beer vermicelli is OK, not too bad. I think the price is 10% more expensive than Phở Gia Hoi which makes better Phở and has more variety of choices. Would not come back here.

We went there during Boxing Day as it was the only place we found where we could get seats. The staff didn’t come across as being organized as they came over and asked us(and a few other customers 20 minutes later) what we ordered. Our first two requests for water also went unanswered. The food took a long time to arrive and during that time I notice that there was a party of two who got frustrated with waiting and left. We ordered spring rolls as an entrée and it was ok but a little soggy at the bottom. The food eventually arrived 45 mins later but it wasn’t what we had ordered. By that time we didn’t want to deal with it anymore and decided to just eat it. The food was alright, wasn’t that fantastic but I think it could have been the service which had spoiled the experience. I don’t think I’ll be visiting there again.

The food here was relatively cheap, but it was very mediocre :(. I got the ga nuong with rice, and the grilled chicken didn’t taste like the delicious ga nuong I’m used to in, say, San Jose or Westminster in California(or Vietnam). Also, the portions suuuuck.

I’ve tried phở around the CBD and perhaps it’s just me… but I feel like I have yet to have a great bowl in the city. I know how great it can be going outside the city, but for some reason the CBD just doesn’t seem to get it right… this goes for Phở LV as well. It’s not in anyway bad, but it just doesn’t taste right. This time i decided to switch it up and go with a different dish and tried the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio(grilled pork, spring rolls, salad with vermicelli. This dish to me was better than their phở, but you would think a place named after phở would have good phở. there are better options in the city, but if you’re in need of a Viet fix then you could this place a go. shoot of the dice I say.

I’ve recently become a fan of phở. Especially in winter, when curling up around a big bowl of steaming Vietnamese soup seems like the only sane thing to do. I came across Phở LV by happenstance, when I was meeting visiting family staying in the neighbouring Meriton Apartments. Unfortunately the relos were looking for something slightly less casual for dinner, so my phở craving just had to wait. When I eventually went back — well, perhaps the anticipation killed it. My chicken phở was nice and hot but not especially tasty. The flavours seemed a little lacking, making the entire experience(super casual though it was) rather meh.
