If Campos was a bar it would be called Cheers, you know just like the TV show. This is because you can roll in there and everyone will know your name, what you have to order and how you like it everyday. I may chop and change from time to time just to see what’s out there in the burb and spread my coffee dollars evenly but Campos Helen Street is my go to on the consistent coffee stakes with a friendly vibe — and it’s a hole in the wall and fresh from the campos factory floor! To be honest, apart from the good coffee I think that’s why I kind of like it — it really appeals to my inner hipster. If you’re in the Tenerife/Newstead hood I urge you to bypass the rest if you’re after a caffeine hit that really satisfies. Definitely the best little hole in the wall business I know.

If you’re in Newstead/Teneriffe area, Campos Coffee is about the best coffee you’ll find. I’ve been working in the area for over a year now and have sampled pretty much every coffee shop there is find in the vicinity, and Campos wins hands down. Kaitlin B is right that the quality differs depending on the Barista, but that’s at every single coffee shop I’ve ever frequented… ever. Campos does have its off days, but is generally very consistent. Matt and Harrison are very friendly, going out of their way to get me my coffee when I want it, and are usually happy to have a chat and a laugh along the way. They even help you out at trying new blends. The food comes directly from the Wanadoo store and is more often than not excellent, but does run out quickly. If you’re in a hurry, they are on Beat the Q, which is important as they do get surprisingly busy and there can sometimes be a wait depending on the hour you visit. Campos on Helen St is certainly the cream of the crop here in Teneriffe, and I don’t think anyone is going to knock them off anytime soon!

This Campos Coffee is located right within the business district of Newstead and has more of a «hole in the wall» format where you grab a coffee to go. I have had coffee from here quite frequently and the quality really differs. The flavour is always the same but the Barrister talent really isn’t consistent. However if you just need to grab a coffee and be back in the office within 5 minutes, this is the place to go. Wait times are always short.
