Rather cheap, quite tasty and filling for $ 10-$ 15. Every now and then the meals are a bit subpar, I’d chalk it up to being incredibly busy Friday/Saturday nights but that shouldn’t be an excuse for a restaurant. Staff are also always very friendly. My main issue is that during incredibly busy periods there still only ever seems to be one person attending to the front counter, even when the line is going out the door. This is very frustrating if ordering takeaway and seeing your order getting cold on the counter waiting sometimes 20 – 30 minutes in line.

Dinner for two for under $ 20? Yes please! Jackpot is the perfect place to go if you are looking for some cheap, simple and yummy asian food. It’s got a bit of everything, so I guess you would classify it as ‘asian fusion.’ The roast duck is awesome, as is the mongolian stir fried beef. So many awesome options though. Big portion sizes mean you won’t go home hungry. And did I mention the food always comes out super fast? To me, there is nothing worse than popping in somewhere to order a quick takeaway for dinner because you can’t be bothered to cook, but then having to wait 30 minutes for your food… But not at Jackpot! Seriously, 10 mins absolute max and your food is ready to go. And the staff are super helpful and polite! Definite favourite for those«I’m too tired to cook» nights.

Place was clean and the staff were pretty friendly. They have booths to sit in, which I really enjoy. One thing I didn’t like was you have to order and pay at the counter, so you have to stand in the cold and choose your meal, or stand in the doorway and block the entry, rather unpleasant. I ordered the Singaporean rice vermicelli and it was not very nice, I actually had to ask for a glass of water so I could pour some into the meal because it was do dry. They have gluten free options which is great, as I was dining with friends that needed it, but neither of them loved the mean either. The food was cheap, almost all meals under $ 10, but for me, I’d rather pay the extra and go somewhere else next time.

Great value for money. Inexpensive with a good selection of food to choose from. Great to hang with a small group of friends. I would definitely recommend to my friends and I have. They also have free water.

Its not incredibly warm and often over crowded. But the food is very cheap and some of the dishes are real winners! Pick of the menu is the stir fry vegetables and pork with Vietnamese potato cakes.

Jackpot’s one of those place that you get great food at cheap prices. Typical uni student dream! When I started at UQ, this was the place to go to in Toowong. It’s changed a lot in the last few years but you can tell from the growth of this once small takeaway noodle shop that it’s a great hot spot for many South Brisbane locals. «Quick pick» meals get out to you in less than 5 minutes and main are just a little bit longer but all the much more filling. I even had a time that my meal came out to me before I went to sit at my table! The staff are friendly and the restaurant is a really nice and cosy setting. For meals that are $ 8-$ 15, this is definitely somewhere to get you full in no time at all!

You know those times you’re with a fussy group and no one wants to make a decision on where to eat for dinner? Jackpost Dining seems to solve that problem. For about $ 10 a head you get a pretty decent dinner(make sure you order rice as most don’t come with it included). We ordered four or five meals(sizzling beef and sizzling garlic prawns the highlights) and shared with the table and while none of us left hungry, the experience was brought down by being given plastic cutlery to use as they had run out of regular dine-in cutlery. It wasn’t overly busy and many of us struggled to understand how a restaurant runs out of cutlery. Anyway, it was a simple, fuss-free affair at a place that you know will always be there to give you a «good feed» when you’re suffering from decision overload.

I Love this Place! It’s quick, the staff is super friendly, it’s cheap and it’s tasty! What more can you expect from a «fast food restaurant»!

I was working in Toowong for a few months and a colleague came into the office with a giant bowl of yummy smelling noodles. Having instant food envy(it was a rainy afternoon, you try resisting yummy noodles in the rain) I went and got myself some. Good price, large serve, tasty noodles — plus I had leftovers for the next day. Win! I wish I’d been there when they were cheaper but I thought for 2 meals I got a pretty good deal.

I’m pretty cranky. Why? Because one of my favourite cheap eats in Toowong became… not so cheap. What happened Jackpot, why did you do this to all your stingy fans? Jackpot Noodles WAS one of the places I would go to if there was a party in Toowong and I wanted to fill my belly up before partying the night away. For $ 6.80, you could get a really tasty takeaway bowl that could really fill you up, my favourites were the Satay Beef noodles and the Chicken in black bean sauce with rice. One day, the place closed down for refurbishment and re-opened with a swanky new look, including a new menu, i.e. no-more cheap meal deals. I was shattered and really disappointed. Another thing I do not understand is that the West End Jackpot Noodles has the same menu as the old Toowong one, why make the Toowong Jackpot different? If I could have everything go my way, I would make the Toowong Jackot the same as the old one. I honestly liked the old décor, it was clean and simple, now it just looks fancy and more expensive.

So they aren’t that cheap anymore. So they don’t look like a daggy but clean and simple fast food place anymore. I’m okay with that. I’m okay with that because everywhere else you go namely in the Toowong Village Food Court… not even a restaurant… you will pay $ 10-$ 15 for a dish. At least they’re still around $ 10 for a dish here and $ 8.50 if you’re after a rice/noodle. That price sits well in my wallet and considering the: 1) Fast order and turnaround time 2) The cleanliness of the place 3) The friendly and efficient staff and now 4) The stylish new Unilocalingly hot look 5) The new dishes they’ve added to the menu It sits right in my stomach too. The food is always cooked fresh, served hot(i’m a big fan of this) and comes out quickly. The price is pretty right with me, I don’t mind spending a few more dollars than before because it’s still a pretty nice little situation.
