Out Of Eden

Out of Eden is a small boutique shop situated on Unley road just across from the Coles/​Woolworths shopping centre. I walked in here under false pretenses of it being a unique little bits and pieces shop — which is what it looks like from the outside.
I walked in ready to browse some cute little modern bits and pieces to be faced with a quiet, yet beautifully smelling organic cosmetics shop.
I didn’t buy anything but I did browse for a while because the shop assistant would’ve looked at me strangely if i just walked out. I have to admit, if I had enough money to justify spending it on expensive cosmetics, I would probably come here. Their range is extensive and genuinely organic and smells wonderful.

It’s always good to know that there are places out there which stocks some good quality and good for you products. With everything being organic and natural, you can get some facial products which are not going to do damage to your skin. I get the impression from a place like this that if I started using their products, I wouldn’t go back to what I was using before. It’s not the biggest store, and it hasn’t got the biggest stock, but everything is natural and it’s located in a great shopping area.

Out of Eden is a gorgeous little store in Unley making beautiful, natural skin care.
It has survived many years in its awkward location on the corner of Arthur Street and Unley Roads, right at the traffic — a testament to it’s dedicated followers. Unfortunately there’s no easy street parking and I don’t imagine they get much foot traffic, but still people come.
The product are gorgeous and the service is great. Chances are, if you try their products you’ll quickly be converted to their way of life and convert to only putting natural, good products on your skin.
They do treatments in a room out the back and the products and gift vouchers make great presents. The service is top-​notch too.

From humble beginnings in Semaphore several years ago Out Of Eden has had a growth spurt mildly out of proportion in recent times and luckily still remains in operation with one store located in Unley. Originally a concept developed whereby people can buy base ingredients to make their own skin care products, has progressed to providing the time poor with ready made creations supplied by various organically certified companies. The prices are on par with normal skincare products if not higher an unfortunate indication of anything labelled natural attracts a higher price range but true in the fact it really is 100% natural with no cheap fillers.
Supplying organic, natural products to the letter and devoid of nasty chemicals present in most of our daily toiletries and just about everything else, it is truly refreshing to know you will get a quality healthy product for the body and soul. Upon entering the re badged black and white motif store, the aroma of burning essential oils quickly enters the olfactory subliminally saying buy me, I’m yours, I am good for you.
Situated directly across the road from a popular shopping centre and with a handy set of pedestrian traffic lights leading to the store, Out of Eden is sitting pretty providing various beauty services, a rewards card and an e-​newsletter to their subscribers. They also have a selection of tea to soothe from the inside out and don’t forget to ask for their handmade skincare concoctions specially tailor made as an extra treat.
There are not many dedicated stand alone stores such as Out of Eden supplying wholly natural products around and until the general public is educated about what a real natural product is compared to the regular market dominated brands it will stay marginal. Once people take the time to learn how it can in fact improve not only their lives but their family and friends’ will it thrive for the good of all.
