The Delicious Biscuit

I can’t believe what this reviewer is writing. We have been buying cakes and biscuits from this lady for several years, both for personal use and our client functions, 100 or so people, as recently as late December. Clients actually come over and talk about how delicious, and beautifully presented all the biscuits and cakes are. The Xmas, and Easter cakes, are our centre piece for client functions, and for whom understand quality. All cakes are hand made with fresh butter, fresh eggs in a spotless environment. The lady making the cakes is larger than life, and has a passion and pride for her cakes. We have always been treated warmly, and any orders have been made to perfection. She always adds a bit extra.

The name of this store is a little deceptive, because it does a lot more than biscuits! It has an enormous range of little cakes, like mini hazelnut tarts and chocolate eclairs and banana-​caramel pies. Ohhh so delicious.
And, everything is sold by the kilo, so one little tart is only around $ 2, often less.
They also have a range of pastries for only $ 2.50. I had a very tasty pear danish along with a mini chocolate croissant. I couldn’t just have one, not at that price (though they’re not small!).
They are also serious about their coffee, and do a rich, strong blend of arabica coffee.
The owner is a long time cake maker and now runs her cake making business from here. There are examples of her work in the window, special cakes she has made from non-​food materials so that they last. I find the concept of purely artistic cakes amusing and slightly dismaying, however, when your cakes are this gorgeous I think it’s a natural thing to do.
