ZERO stars! I wish I could give this a zero, absolutely awful takeaway. I would NOT recommend this place. Food was bland, tasteless, unappetizing and arrived an hour and twenty minutes late. The coke was way beyond the expiry date, tasted nothing like it should, had a dead fly on the lid and in addition we were over charged for it! Customer service was non existent. When I called to complain, the woman on the other end was unhelpful, uncooperative, had me on hold for long, hung up on me twice and did not agree on a refund. I DONOTRECOMMEND!!!

If I could give Me Wong’s zero stars, I absolutely would. I was feeling pretty lazy but had a burning need for some Chinese food, so I jumped online to find somewhere that would deliver and I stumbled across these guys via the menu log website. After reading through the over priced menu and weighing the cost /benefit of me having to leave the house in search of alternatives, I decided, what the hay, and placed an order. The thing with Mr Wong’s is that you need to spend a minimum of $ 40/for delivery. This was a pain, but fine, I get it, I’ll just be an awesome house mate and share with the loud American doofus I live with. So After ordering the chicken and sweet corn soup, wonton, dim sum, fried rice and braised beef and vege meal, I plugged in my credit card details and waited. Waited. Waited some more. An hour goes by and I’m getting a little nervous. At the 1 ½ hour point I decided to give them a call in case I’d given the wrong address. Nope, they had forgotten to make my order. Awesome. Two hours later, or 3 ½ hours after I ordered the dude shows up with our order. He tries to charge me and gets visibly upset when I explain that I had already paid and showed him the confirmation email. He leaves and we go to dig in because at this point my stomach is starting to digest itself. The food is cold. Not lukewarm, stone cold. Not to be defeated we chucked it in our good friend mr microwave for a quick nuke, only to find the food to be inedible. Even for a big burly American dude whose sole diet consisted of pounds of bacon and cheese mooshed together with pasta, served with doritos. The soup tasted like dish water, the dim sum and wontons were rock hard and obviously of the homebrand frozen variety, the beef must have been marinated with an entire salt mines worth of salt. I tried calling the store but by this time they were closed for the night. Defeated I went to bed hungry.

Hands down the worst combination omelette and special fried rice I’ve ever eaten. Fried rice comes with watery prawns, very cold peas and no flavour. Omelette was burnt and had no pork in it. We couldn’t eat it, literally we turfed it and cooked something else. Don’t waste your money, go to Leon’s Chinese Restaurant. Our usual, but they’re not open on Monday’s and I had an omelette craving. Lesson learned. :S

A craving for the 2-course style Peking Duck meal without traveling too far and without busting our wallets found us at this restaurant. The meal was good and while the chowmein we chose for the second course appeared small, it was sufficient for my husband and myself. The ambience does leave a lot to be desired(we sat at a corner table with the harsh fluorescent lighting outside peeking in), the friendly staff made up. The waffles we had for dessert were skinny And burnt — the only part of the meal we weren’t pleased with. However, good value for a Peking Duck meal(approx. $ 40 – 50). It helped that we had an Entertainment Book voucher.

Mr Wongs is the answer to Monday night blues. When you’re not particularly happy because it’s the beginning of the work week and you’re definitely not in the mood to cook… What to do? I call up Mr Wongs for some crazy good Chinese take-away. No, not all Chinese take-away is the same! And this place will prove it. Their food is so flavoursome and tastes better than most. We usually order the Szechuan chicken, Beef and Black Bean and some fried rice. Besides the delicious taste, the food is very very hot so when it arrives home, it’s just perfect. The customer service here is always great! They are fast, efficient and always very friendly to speak to over the phone and when you dine in. It is a must try Chinese place for dining in and take-out in Wilston.

You’re in your pyjamas, without transport, or just lazy. But you’re also hungry, and the larder is bare. It’s one of those occasions where you NEED someone to bring food to your doorstep or you will combust in a cloud of hunger and despair. But here’s where the real problem comes in: it’s one of those rare occasions when you don’t feel like pizza. Shocking and disturbing, I know. What will you do? Here’s where the true beauty of Mr Wong’s lies. They deliver. Yes, they will bring fluffy steamed rice, noodles, and spring rolls to your house! The food is fairly typical chinese takeaway, nothing gourmet or mind-blowing, but it’s tasty and can be yours with no more than a phone call and sometimes that’s all that matters. Singapore noodles, green vegetables in garlic sauce, rice, spring rolls, and a extra large side of couch time please.

I was feeling the great need for some Chinese food one night but I was in sweat pants and didn’t really feel it socially acceptable to venture out to a restaurant in sweat pants and a shirt that said, ‘I’m sotally tober” So I had a few options and chose to get Chinese food from Mr Wong’s delivered. It wasn’t bad! Recently his website received an update but a few months ago it was basically a PDF of his menu, so I was a little worried that they put the same effort into their food as they did their website. I ordered fried rice with lemon chicken — my partner she got spring rolls and black bean duck. It wasn’t very adventurous of us, I admit, but it was a fairly decent amount of food. The price was reasonable as well, considering we got it delivered. It wasn’t the best Chinese I ever had, but it was fairly good and I’m happy enough to eat from Mr Wongs once more.
