The perfect place for after work drinks during the week with happy hour on until 8pm! Cheap beer, spirits, cocktails & food! Grab a reasonable sized steak for $ 20. I could have sat their all night drinking $ 10 Espresso Martini’s. The atmosphere is very chilled with easy to listen to music, all the classics. You can sit inside or out. Staff were very friendly and kept checking on drink & food status through out the night. Location on Chapel St is easy to get to via train or tram from the city. It wasn’t too busy, a nice place to sit and have good convos still with friends. Will definitely go back.

Here’s a wonderful little eatery on Windsor’s trendy Chapel Street. It’s easily miss among other more prominent places to eat, but in my experience nowhere in the local area serves food as well cooked and prepared for better value. Buddhas Belly gets the balance just right in terms of ambience. It’s pleasant and attracts a good crowd without being pretentious and up itself. You have a choice of sitting indoors, where tables of various sizes can accommodate anyone from lone visitors to large groups. Candles light the surface areas and the lighting is dimmed for atmosphere. Alternatively, you could sit outdoors where sheeting protects you from the noises and smells of the busy road and heaters keep you toasty as you relax. There are a decent variety of drinks, all served to the table, and happy hour runs from 4−8pm, so plenty of time to take advantage of discounted prices. Free fibre-optic broadband runs throughout the day, with great transfer speeds. On several nights, there are specific meals discounted, and my visit coincided with steak night. For $ 14, Buddhas Belly served me a 300g porterhouse steak, cooked to perfection, with tasty chips and a well-dressed salad. For $ 14. Fourteen dollars. Four. Teen. Dollar. s. — it doesn’t get much better than that. I’m sorry, would you excuse me for a moment? Thanks. I had to go and wipe my mouth. You see I was salivating so much thinking about that meal, I’m like a hungry hound and ready for the next one. Thank goodness it’s Wednesday tomorrow…

This is a hidden gem in trendy Windsor. With great happy hour drinks and daily specials I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t just a bit of a fan of here. The atmosphere in here is pretty good with low lighting and casual dining setup. Keep a eye out for the comfy couch so you can watch people walking up and down chapel street. I remember hearing something about a live act on Sundays, which is on my list to check out at some stage! My favourite dish by far is the mushroom gnocchi. It’s great! Try it!

Buddah’s Belly is a happening little café located in the middle of Chapel Street’s dining precinct. The windows are always painted with the daily or weekly specials and with happy hour from 4pm — 7m everyday of the week, whats not to love? Buddah’s Belly is a regular breakfast hot spot for me especially on the weekends when I’m in need of a good feed(and perhaps a hangover cure too.) I really like the Vegetarian Roti: Layered roti bread with scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, spinach, tomato relish and hollandaise, Yum! The coffee at Buddah’s Belly is also quite good and if your a bit of a sweet tooth there are some pretty incredible desserts on offer, think Gooey mixed berry compote sandwiched by dark chocolate sauce, mmm I can taste that one already. Buddah’s Belly is light, bright and perfect for a Sunday breaky or a few cheeky drinks after work.
