Isn’t this place just the best? Great range. Great and friendly staff. And you can buy a beer and drink it in store. Win.

I heard about this place from someone in my beer meetup group, and I’m so glad I did! They’ve always got really interesting beers on tap to try(on my last visit there was one made with kopi lawak(the Indonesian coffee which is pre-digested through the civit cat) and I feel like a kid in a candy shop looking through their wonderful bottled beer selection. You can pay takeaway prices to drink in the shop, but they’ll charge you $ 1 for a glass. If you’re a craft beer lover, this is a great place to try something new and fun, and to pick up a couple of your favourite bottles for later.

Still awesome. Anchor steam ale from SANFRANUSA! This was a really nice beer and I chose it specially because in a way, it’s the closest thing I’ve got yet to going to San Fran in the USA, home of Unilocal!Despite of course my San Fran fridge magnet and special us penny. Anywho, plenty of beers stocked up for the winter time, plenty of cool wines and other finds, and basically the whole shop is full of stuff I’ve never had before, which makes it even more awesome. New things. Are. The best. Another $ 1 to drink any beer they have in store. Plus they also have taps now! Hooray! Beer on tap. Again nice dark and rich beers for the winter time. This place is good; friendly owners; very caring and work darn hard to keep this cherished business alive. Brew Dog, Mystery and cool ciders and beers that you have never heard of before or seen are here, including hipster ale! Get yourself down here.

Really lovely owners who without a doubt know their beer/wine/cider and everything else alcoholic! Great place to start a night or have a quiet few with a couple of friends… Doubles as a café/cellar… Nice idea :)

Boutique style bottle shop that double as a tastings bar as well! It is always an adventure visiting the Chapel Street Bottle Shop, there are so many different styles of liquor on offer, and the stock is constantly updating and changing allowing customers to sample some of the finest alcohol products from around the world. The walls and fridges are lined with both International and local wines, premium beers and ciders as well as infused vodkas. Some favourites of mine have been Toffee Apple Cider, Jamiesons Raspberry and Holgate Pilsner. So much to drink and so little time! The best part about Chapel Street Cellars is you can buy your tasty liquid delight and open in right in store to enjoy. There are seats outside as well so you can sit out in the sunshine during the day. Chapel Street Cellars have regular events and tastings at the store, keep up to date for special invites to these events via their facebook page.

Chapel St Cellars is the perfect spot for a low-key after work drink. It is kind of a bottle shop/wine bar hybrid and you can buy a bottle or glass and enjoy it inside or outside. The selection is extensive and the staff really know their stuff and are happy to make a recommendation. If you have been searching for a particular wine and have been unable to find it, chances are Chapel St Cellars will stock it.

Owned and run by an eccentric husband and wife, Chapel Street Cellars spawned from the ingenious idea of serving alcohol at a bottle shop. Cut out the middle man and everyone’s happy! It’s a pretty cool place to hang out during the warmer months. Drinks are cheap and the minimal tables and chairs outside serve as the perfect vantage point for the unique breed of Windsor passersby. If you’re not staying for a drink but rather using the store for its original purpose, then the eccentric married couple will help you out like no other bottle shop employees. With the fridges stocked full of wines from every country, and the shelves brimming with unusually yet delightfully infused vodkas, Greg and Mary(note: not their real names, but they do indeed seem like a Greg and Mary) will surely find something to tickle your fancy. Do note that they don’t stay open too late so this may serve you better as a first pit stop for the night, between the hours of day and dusk.

I love that this bottle shop is set up like an old cellar where as soon as you walk in you feel like you should be a connoisseur of some fine whiskeys and wines. They have the slogan«drink different» and I really like how they promote some of the lesser-known brands where once you try them you realize the differences between the mass-produced stuff to the finer products. Their knowledge there is second to none and if you have a father like mine(a huge whiskey and vodka lover) than it’s a great place to find something that they haven’t tried before and if you chat to the people, you can also educate him on the origins of the drink. I have definitely moved my way up the«child I love most» list due to my last Father’s Day present. It’s always an interesting look around and always very tempting to try something you never have before so have a look and«drink different».
