Plane is just that; plain. Most definitely not the place for all of those label whores out there, Plane endeavours to just keep it simple and this they do very well. No over-embellishment, excessive buckles, kooky patterns or obtrusive branding, these are just nice simple clothes that look good and fit well. The look is sleek and stylish with a street twist, perfect for the budding male fashionista.

It’s so good to be able to walk into a store and find all of the basics that you’re after in the one the place. Plane’s name says it all: they sell basics of all different cuts and colours, that don’t have labels printed all over them, and are bedazzle-free. Though their clothes are generally on the simple side, they’re still stylish and unique in their own way. The men’s clothes have a sort of dapper-mature-skater-vibe to them and the labels they stock include: Jesen, Life After Denim, and Heschel. The prices are also very reasonable(I bought a duffle coat and a nice pair of chinos there for $ 90 each).

I don’t want tassels on my tops. I don’t want zips on my pants. And I especially don’t want jewelry on my shoes. So where do I go in this modern world where design means combining strange patterns and products to make clothes? Plane. It’s all in the name, even though plane to which I refer is spelt ‘plain.’ Forget that, pretend it’s a misnomer. And if you see little planes painted across the store it’s because you have a serious eye condition that needs urgent attention. But on the serious side Plane is a fantastic place to buy basics. Shoes, glasses, t-shirts, pants, everything that you’d like to remain basic can be found here. I think the store is particularly aimed at men but it also suits tom-boyish women. The shoes are pretty cool and cheap too, for men and women alike, so I recommend the place to all kinds of shoppers.
