History

Established in 2011.

On May 24, 1626, the Belgian Director of the Dutch colony Nova Belgica, Peter Minuit, purchased the island of Mannahatta from the Native American Lenape people. Peter Minuit convened chiefs from nearby tribes, broke open sea chests, and gave them 60 Dutch guilders — US$ 24 worth of cloth, beads, hatchets, and other goods.

In 2011, a Belgian New Yorker starts selling Belgian waffles in the streets of Manhattan.

400 years later, in 2014, the same Belgian New Yorker wants to bring the entertaining and enchanting New York experience to the world, starting in his country of origin: Belgium.
