3 stars for the atmosphere, 2 stars for the experience
It all started with us getting a table even though was packed and we didn’t have any reservation, I was nicely suprised to find there is that posibility. You can write down your order on a note and give it to the bar, that’s nice if the waiters are too busy.
We only ordered a cappuccino and latte, not excellent but nice cups. Anyway we drank our coffees and went for the toilet when I saw some good looking pancakes and I was wondering if I should go for it. In the bathroom there was a sign with «I just don’t want to look back and think I could’ve eaten that» So, ofc I went back to the table to choose my pancakes.
Looking on the menu, picked something with bannana or nutella OFC, and the cute girl who served came to our table, hm she read my thoughts, let’s tell her my order. And then she starts speaking: I’m sorry but I have to ask you to leave because this table is reserved.
Yeah, there’s that. A heads up before would’ve saved me of saying: «Belgian crappy services»

Super endroit de brunch! Il faut réserver a l’avance! L’ambiance est chouette. On commande via un calepin mi sur la table, beaucoup de choix. Les pancakes américain étaient délicieux. Ils y avaient pleins de bonnes choses, les œufs, la bruschetta, les Jus sur la carte.

Très chouette endroit pour un brunch, un goûter ou juste un The ! Endroit agréable et personnel accueillant ! J’ai goûté les œufs brouillés avec légumes ainsi que les pancakes au sirop d’érable et tout était délicieux ! Quant aux boissons, je vous conseille vivement l’iced tea de la maison !

Gust is adorable and cozy, and the service was impeccable but unfortunately that’s where the pros end for me. The menu was entirely in Dutch but our server was very patient and went through it thoroughly in English (re: the excellent service). I took a chance on the breadbasket (or the broodmand) combo which comes with both «salty» and «sweet» accompaniments. The ham, cheese and jams were pretty nondescript. My partner’s American pancakes had bananas mashed into the batter, which was pretty cool. Coffee and juices were good, as expected. The breakfast options seemed a bit lacking but would try again for lunch.

We were served with a lovely and generous breakfast by lovely ladies. A nice variety of salt and sweet condiments makes for a varied breakfast. What we couldn’t finish, we took with us in a nice box (cool initiative by the cit of Ghent: restau restje)! We’ll make sure to visit again… Reservation is advisable!
