The fish was excellent, however my plate of sashimi came drenched in soy sauce and covered in inedible piles of garnish. They also inexplicably poured the sake into a rectangular bowl-sized cup.

Decided to wander over to Buda as it was close and had good reviews. I was really disappointed that they were out of grilled shrimp but the Yokkasabo I had was terrific. It was seasoned just right so that it melted in your mouth. Plenty of shrimp in the bowl as well. We also got the ceviche as an appetizer and it was probably the best ceviche that I ever had. A nice delicate fish in a lime sauce. Mr and Mrs Corey got a sushi combo that looked really good. I didn’t hear any complaints from them. It was a little on the pricey side, for Brazil at least. Haha but not in terms of what we pay in the US. If you are in the neighborhood this is worth a stop.

Really very good. Enjoyed it. They have an English menu, which is nice, but my sushi places in Chicago don’t have one. Lol. Wine list is very short. Prices are great and quality is tremendous. Really happy to find this place. If you are in the area, worth the look.

O Buda Sushi fica no inicio de Copacabana, o restaurante tem um ambiente bem simples,
mas o ponto alto são as criações do Sushi man que trabalha com produtos muito frescos.
O diferencial da casa fica por conta das apresentações dos pratos e das criações do Sushiman Mauro Rodrigues, quem tem uma larga bagagem na cozinha oriental.
Na minha ultima visita pedi um Tirashi, os peixes estavam divinos, acompanhado de ostras, fresquissimas, com ovas e limão. a experiência só não foi perfeita porque o tempero do arroz do Tirashi, eu particularmente não gostei, mas voltarei para conferir outras coisas.

Just so amazing, the food is so good, the presentation is amazing too. I think this may be the best Sushi outside of Japan! Just wow wow wow and the passion that goes into it. The staff knew some basic English, but not language is enough to explain the food that I ate here. Just so awesome and thanks for the amazing experience! One day I’ll be back!
