A good place for a few pints, to have a fairly good meal at a reasonable price or to stay over. You do not need much more when having to find a place for the night while away on work. The staff is also very friendly.
This is a genuinely nice pub. Bright oldy modern, not huge. Only Greene King on offer if they did some good beer branded an extra star would be there. Saying that the beer quality was good.
I would not describe this as an Irish pub barring the chaps accent behind the bar. However I think its a nice pub lots going for it even has beer on that is not Greene King :). Inside its spacious yet cosy. Lots of dark wood and lots of racing photos.
Small Weatherspoons but the only place in town thats sells any variety in beer everywhere else is Greene King except for the Marstons pub. So a welcome relief. I find thr collection of gaming machines a bit bizzare though.
