The service is usually good & they have a really good selection of beer, but DONOT buy a gift card. I’ve tried to use my gift card here on 4 occasions, & while someone on staff can usually figure it out eventually, it has always taken 5 – 10 minutes just to pay for my items. The last time we went, no one could figure out how to accept payment via gift card, one guy was really unpleasant to me about it(as if it’s my fault), & we ultimately had to pay by credit. We came to this store to spend the gift card; if we’d known we couldn’t use it, we would’ve gone elsewhere, & next time they can’t accept my gift card that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

I used to come to this liquor store out of convenience but I will not be coming back. I purchased a 6 pack to have with a friend but left it in my fridge for a week until I drank one for myself. He had two already when I was still having my first. I had never tried this beer before so I was reading the label. I noticed it said«best before date printed on bottle» and to my surprise, the date said Mar 2014. I looked at it some more thinking I was reading it incorrectly or if it was the packaging date but it was clearly the best before date. I decided to take the remaining 3 beers back. The clerk immediately said he couldn’t refund me as I had already drank 3 of them. Well, I didn’t expect to need to check a beer that I just bought a week ago to make sure it wasn’t an old beer. I merely checked it out of curiosity. Now I’m no beer connoisseur and the beer tasted average but 6 months past its best before date should probably not be sold. He called the assistant manager who also gave me a «too bad», «beer doesn’t expire» and«New York(where the beer is brewed) has stricter liquor laws.» At no point did they take any fault. I honestly just wanted to exchange them for something else but he said the other ones were probably the same but didn’t bother checking. If you do decide to come here, just make sure you’re not buying old beer. You’re already paying a premium at private liquor stores!

I like this place because it has my two staple wines and my(now) staple beer: Barefoot Moscato, The Show Malbec, and Leffe Blond. Price is higher than BCL, but it is a private liquor store, so it meets my expectations there. Good hours, friendly staff, LOTS of craft brews, convenient location. Watch for the cops that park half a block up the street. I’ve seen a few people get busted speeding out of there.

Somewhat expensive, but they have nice staff and good hours so I am a patron.

In a lot of ways this is just your average liquor store specializing in the regular wines, liquors and Macro Beer like Molson. Luckily the manager here is a huge fan of Craft Beer and as such she has been slowly moving more and more craft beer into the coolers and has currently taken over most of two coolers and dedicated them to craft beer. There is also some overflow craft beer on shelves not in the coolers due to lack of space. If you live near this liquor store and like craft beer you owe it to yourself to stop by and check it out! #30DaysOfYelp 7⁄30
