The name of this bakery is very misleading! My buttah roll wasn’t fresh at all. The whipped egg white was not sweet enough. Whatever, it was only $ 1.50CAD. I’m not trippin’

Feel bad for the Crystall Mall tenants who have no choice here, other than the ones in Metrotown. a notch down fr even the ones in Chinatown. Their coconut buns barely had any filling. Not your first choice amongst Asians. Also offer birthday cakes. located by the elevators. Cash only.

This happened to me several times at this bakery and I should have learned my lesson. I can’t be sure if it was just one sales lady doing this or if it is several of them, but they do shamelessly overcharge! Make sure you calculate how much your bill should be before giving them your payment. They did it to me once again today and I’m just so annoyed — that’s shameless theft right in my face! Though it was my fault by not calculating in my mind how much my bill should be. By the time I got home, I realized that I was ripped off once again! If you’re buying from this bakery, consider yourself warned… I don’t think it was an honest mistake because it happened a few times with me already. I’ve corrected them in the past, the lady just changed the bill WITHOUTAPOLOGY! This will be the last time I’m buying from this place — what a total rip off!

I love Asian bakeries as I am not into desserts that are a cavity assault. Even the sweetest thing is the most tolerable. They have a lot of pastries and a few gluten free options as well. Crème brule for $ 1.50…yes please. They’re cash only which works for me since most of their selections are dirt cheap.

I visited Crystal Mall for Top Gun Dim Sum. While recovering from food coma, we saw De Fresh Bakery. All the products were freshly baked the same day. The size of the buns vs. the price are very reasonable to me. The taste was good as well. However, the taro in the taro buns were too sweet and the color of the taro was a bit fake.

We got some coconut and weiner buns. They were okay, but I still prefer the ones from Maxim bakery since the their buns are softer and more grabbable. :-D

My mom bought 3 boxes of Snowskin(Bing Pei) Mooncakes on Mid-Autumn Festival, which was on Wed, September 22. The lady had informed my mom to put them in them freezer and so we did like we were told. However, I took a bite out of one of them on Friday, Oct 1, and it just tasted really weird. I started throwing up because I just ate a moldy mooncake! It was disgusting! The reason why I couldn’t see it was that it was a greentea snowskin mooncake so the moldy parts were camouflaged. We did what the lady from the bakery had told us and the mooncakes didn’t even last 2 weeks! It was ridiculous! Most of the mooncakes were wasted. Feeling a little ripped off, my mom and I decided to head back to the bakery to inform them our situation. The lady at the bakery said it wasn’t their fault; it was our fault. What kind of customer service was that? Do you expect your customers to come back with that kind of attitude? We wanted the bakery to compensate us for the products because each box of mooncake cost about $ 25 so that meant it was a $ 75 dollar loss(3 boxes)! They said they couldn’t give us money back but at least compensate your customers with gift certificates! Unfortunately, that’s not what they did. All they said was it wasn’t their fault. That’s not what customers want to hear. Not at all. With that being said, I would not return to this bakery and give it a negative score.
