Normally, I will not give 4 or 5 stars to fast food vendors, but today I am going to give an exception to this place since they exceeded my expectations. I ordered their Beef Brisket with Chu Hou sauce. I noticed that they offered hand pulled noodles at $ 7.75 and rice costed $ 8.25. I was thinking to myself, normally hand pulled noodles like ramen would be a little bit more expensive, but I decided to give it instead. Also, for 25 cents more, they were willing to give me a cold lemon tea for me. I was surprised it was that cheap to be honest. Most places are trying to make as much money as they can. I guess they are willing to be competitive with the other fast food vendors in the place. I could have gone for the hot ovaltine, but when I saw a customer got the cup, it was fairly large for 25 cents. I am wondering if the drink is included in the cost of the food, but even then, it was a steal and I definitely would go back to this place again.

In a land(food court lol) of real China, mainland China food that is, this one stands out like a sore thumb: HK style café food. So, in a way, it’s nice change, though not sure if the residents here enjoy it as much, lol. It was the quietest one here that day a few weeks back. So naturally, to compare to the signature dish at Goldstone and Big Boss, ordered the baked pork chop with cheese, over rice, and was just alright. If you’re in the mood for it, then you’ll like it but for my professional Unilocaling, then it’s even a 2 star simply because I wouldn’t order this again. The tomato sauce wasn’t as yummy, and the rice not as fluffy, as it should be. Pork chop at this price, I’m not expecting free-range lol. But can’t beat the price of $ 8. Located Crystal Mall, 2nd floor.

Had another lemon Coke here. Yup, the price is the same rip. Sigh.

This stall within the Crystal Mall Food court holds one of my favourite treats — deep fried chicken knees. They fry them up to order and they come out hot enough to burn through the disposable plate they are on(literally — this always happens). They are not greasy at all, and have that lovely crunch that I look for. Delicious!
