Small portions, expensive, rather go to Anton’s, pizzas were really small. i wont be going back. if you want authentic Italian wood oven pizza delivery call Rigazzi’s they are by far the best in the neighbourhood. Life is short to eat mediocre food.

Had a great lunch here on a Friday a week ago. The place was absolutely packed with a couple of large groups. It didn’t seem to slow down the service and the pizza was terrific. Will definitely return.

I’ve never had a pizza straight from an Italian wood oven before. This meat lovers pizza blew my mind. I’m lactose intolerant but zero %#^*$ were given. I ate the whole thing and every bite was ecstasy. Maybe I haven’t had real pizza before but if it’s like this, I better stock up on my lactaid pills. Aside from the pizza, my wife’s pasta was excellent. She had a cream base sauce that was to die for. This is a hidden gem in the Brentwood area and I highly recommend it. No comments on service as I got take out.

first off, the good. the pizza is authentic Italian thin crust which was very tastey. the Alfredo sauce on my gfs pasta was great n tasted homemade, u could taste the butter. maybe too much for some but perfect for us. the tiramitsu was 1 of the best I’ve had.(only had it maybe 10 times in my life) lol. cons. ordered the antipasto for 2 for roughly 16 bux. 2 pieces of 3 different meats 6 pitted olives 2 pieces of artichoke and maybe 6 pieces of pickled peppers. for 16 bux? really? either have a spread like ur competition or take it off the menu. lastly when asked if the gnocchi are homemade I was told no. if I want store bought pasta I’ll either make it myself or go to crap tons on hastings

Authentic Italian pizza made with love in front of house. Baked to perfection in a brick forno(fire oven). Pasta sauces that will rival your nono’s. Fast paced affordable lunches. Date worthy candle-lit dinner service and ambience.

We drove by one morning recently to check out the restaurant’s location, and all, saw the ‘open’ sign lit, and decided to give it a try for lunch. We arrived just a couple of minutes after it had opened at 11:30am, and were their first customers of the day. Upon entering, we liked what we saw, and the ambiance we felt — it was just what we wanted and needed — a comfortable oasis away from all the active going’s on(re: construction and highway) in the area to the north of there! We were greeted by ‘Cindy’ … she showed us to a window-view table, and provided such friendly, and accommodating service. What we ordered, and much-enjoyed: — to start, it was a cold brew for me, and glasses of ice water for the ladies. — Daughter and I shared a ‘Mediterranean Salad’(w/organic mix, feta, tomato, cucumber, olives, and a balsamic vinaigrette), and one of their Gourmet Italian Pizzas, the ‘Quattro Stagioni’(w/tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, artichokes, and black olives). The salad was colourful, crisp, and cool, and so fresh and tasty! The pizza was a real delight — thin, tender, colourfully-baked crust, with each of the«four seasons» segments aptly portrayed, and providing such a pleasure to the taste buds! — Mom had the ‘Baked Meat Lasagna’(meat sauce, w/mozzarella & parmesan cheese). I think she’s used to lasagnas with more cheeses in them, and was a touch surprised at how little cheese there was in this preparation. I reminded her that it was a meat lasagna, and the focus was on the meat sauce. And from what I tasted, it was very tasty indeed, and ‘wow’, what wonderful flavours with the ‘aftertaste’!! Pasta Amore had been on my «must/should do» menu for quite some time — yea! we finally got there, and the fine food and service were much-enjoyed, and so easy to recommend!!!

Never noticed this hidden gem all these years I lived in the neighbourhood and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a linguini vongole with cream sauce and I can say its taste paralleled or even surpassed the authentic ones I had in Italy last year. I also ordered a salad with sautéed criminology mushrooms. I don’t know what the chef added but the mushrooms just tasted amazing although they are a bit on the salty side. Staff there seemed to be all from Italy and were extremely personable and warm. I hung out there until their closing time and chatted with them about my Italian trip. The owner ended up introducing almost all the staff to me by name which made me feel that I had made some new friends. Definitely going back again!

Tucked away on it’s own… People come here because they know it is here and enjoy it! Had the penne with salmon in creamy tomato sauce and shared the Mediterranean salad. Both delish. The owner came out after dinner to say hello table by table. So nice and welcoming. Recommend.

I was very disappointed after presenting the waitress a groupon voucher and being told that they no longer accepted them. Even though it is an agreement between the merchants who use groupon to promote their business and Groupon, that the face value or what you paid for the groupon never expires. I asked to speak to the owner and he said that they would not honor their contract with groupon. The owner was offensive and rude when I asked him to honor my Groupon.

Great food. Very impressed. We had their pizzas and spaghetti, which were delicious. Called ahead to reserve, which was fortunate as it was busy when we arrived.

It was a Saturday night and I wanted some take out and out of all the places I looked up, I decided to try out the pasta here since I live in the area and I heard good things about their lunch. I phoned in after taking a look at the menu and prices on their website and decided to get Spaghetti and meatballs with an order of garlic bread(i read a previous Unilocaler review that said it was the best ever, so I had high hopes). Total according to website: $ 17.85. The friendly woman who placed my order said the garlic bread was on sale($ 4 for the large) and the total came out to $ 20.48. After hanging up I realized that was over the price I saw on the website so either she made a mistake or their website menu is really out of date. I decided to let it go, and thought I’d figure it out when I picked up the food. After driving down I arrived to a warm welcome by the servers and took a quick look at the menu to check the price. I checked out the dinner menu and noticed the price of Spaghetti and Meatballs is $ 15.50. Wow a $ 3 increase from the website. (****What I realized the next day was that the server charged me the dinner menu price and not the take-out menu price that I ordered from off the website. She KNEW it was take out and charged me DINNERMENU price. UNFORGIVABLE and SNEAKY. I wouldn’t trust this kind of person.***) So anyway, what happens next is insane. I gave the lady $ 22 in cash. She took it and said, «Ok, so you’re good to go?». I looked puzzled as I waited for my change. She then said«It was $ 20.48.“and she looked at me like, why aren’t you leaving with your food? I then said«um. can I have my change?». She then looked at me, smile faded away, then scoffed at me and rolled her EYES as she disappeared to the back to find my change, which took her 5 whole minutes. I waited awkwardly wondering, did I do something wrong? Is it expected that I give tip for picking up my food? Did she serve me water, food, clean my dishes as I dined 45mins-1hour in the restaurant? No, no and NO. I have never, ever in my whole life experienced this bad of a service picking up my food. I have never had a waitress scoff and roll their eyes at me in general. That is just terrible customer service and incredibly unforgivable. And who knows! Maybe if she had given me my change like a normal person I could have left it there for good service! I was already spending $ 3 more than I was prepared to and she EXPECTED me to give her a tip when I drove to the damn restaurant to pick up my dinner. Even though this was the worst experience I have ever had from a waitress, I would give it 1.5 stars because i could tell the spaghetti was thoughtful and not mediocre. It was tasty but not worth $ 15.50, or maybe it tasted meh because of the awful service I had. The garlic bread was possibly the worst I’ve had so I’m not quite sure what the other Unilocaler had, maybe it was different at the time. I got a chewy, super thin slice of triangle bread with no garlic flavour. I urge anyone who goes here to completely avoid the blonde server with the ponytail because if you give no tip(at take-out) or a small tip(dining in) she might just spoil your whole experience of Pasta Amore.

We don’t live closeby at all but make it a point to come here 1−2+ times a year. Our last visit was this Friday for a birthday and we had a wonderful experience. You can count on this place for tasty quality italian food. I liked that their mussels were saucy and fresh and that their pastas were garlicky. The owner was engaging and they even gave a free zambooki shot for the birthday boy. I don’t usually drink but I thought their house white wine(Pinot Grigio) was abbbbbsolutely delicious! Free parking at the front and it seems to receive very steady business. The atmosphere is dim and quiet and perfect if you’re eating for an occasion. Orders came out in a timely manner and HOT. Pasta is around $ 13 – 16 and entrees were in the 20s, which is I think is reasonable. The portions are generous and I think that most people would be able to take home some leftovers. See you again soon, Pasta Amore!

SOBAD!!! We walked in on a saturday night at 7pm. We did not have reservations(there was only 5 tables full) and were not talked to or seated for 5 minutes. There was a man at the bar who avoided looking at us. We finally got a seat and were then TOTALLYIGNORED for 15 mins — with the waitresses cleaning the tables around us– and finally walked out and left. I was really hoping to try the pasta and pizzas which looked great, but alas we were denied.

I came back. And found out why their reviews suck. I was the only one in there tonight. The waiter was grumpy, I tried to cheer him up and chatted with him. Seemed like I cheered him up anyway. Pasta was fine, I’m a light eater so am ok with the portions. Bill came, I put a $ 20 in for a $ 16.28 meal. The waiter never came back, 15minutes. The hostess neither, they just ignored me. I was the only one there so I finally got the picture, he wanted the extra tip! Nothing more appalling than someone forcing money out of your pocket. So I consented, I got up and left that $ 20 on the table. He wanted the tip, he got it. He lost a customer for life.

I love going to Pasta Amore with my husband. It’s definitely one of our favourite neighbourhood joints. Pasta is yummy. Our favourite dishes: –Spaghetti Aglio Olio Piccante. Simple and flavourful. Get it with the shrimp if you want some protein. Portion is huge and I always have enough leftover for lunch the next day. –Penne Boscaiola. Lovely, creamy mushroom sauce. The bacon compliments and doesn’t compete. Large portions too but hubby usually stuffs himself when he orders this so in theory there’s enough for lunch the next day but that rarely happens. Really, any of the pasta dishes are good. Do yourself a favour and try with the meatballs. Homemade and very flavourful. Also try not to stuff yourself too badly and enjoy the tiramisu which is also homemade. It’s light and fluffy and melts in your mouth. Pricing is a bit high, especially if you order an appy, entrée and dessert. But nonetheless I think it’s worth it. Service is good. We’re greeted promptly, usually seated quickly and food comes out sooner than later. Our server recognizes us and always makes us feel welcome. We’ve also met the owner a few times who you can tell really enjoys what he does.
