Pillars Salon

Massive fan of this salon and specifically, Lily. Great haircut from wash to style. She did everything I asked for but better than I imagined. I’ll be a repeat customer whenever I’m in Vancouver. Cute salon and very reasonable prices!

I just had my hair done by Lily today and she did a great job. The salon is very pretty. However parking is a bit of a pain in that neighbourhood.

I had really needed to get my nails done and decided to come here after reading a Unilocal review that said everything I was looking for.
If you ask my friends, they would all agree that I am VERY peculiar about my nails — I am totally OCD and a perfectionist about them, so when I got my nails done with Caitlin, it was like a dream — totally unbelievable that I looked at my nails and didn’t go home to reshape/​correct them myself!!! I had never had this happen before… seriously.
She uses enVogue gel, and charges in cheque or cash only (which is one of the downsides for me because I like to just carry my card). Nonetheless, Caitlin is my go-​to «nail smith», she is so good with her hands and makes my nails look so perfect (in shape and colour). The quality of her work is outstanding and I just can’t believe that I have found someone that does my nails the way I want them too!
The only other downside is that the gel colours she carries are limited — there aren’t many colours to choose from but I’m sure that will change soon! :)
But of course other than that, if you need someone that is detail oriented and want beautifully shaped nails, go see Caitlin!

One of the few salons in Burnaby that don’t use drills. If your looking for a salon that uses en vogue gel and no painful drills that can cut you this will be your go to place.
Prices for gel I think is still $ 40.00 for a fill including french and $ 80.00 for a full set. They also don’t use those fake nail tip extensions with glue. Instead they use those stickers to enhance the length.
They also offer buff and shine for those who are in between fills. If your looking for acrylic and solar nails you won’t find it here. Besides acrylic is very hard/​bad on your nails and solar nails are just a way for some salons to rip off theyre clients.
Make sure you book an appt for nails because they get booked fast.
