Before lasik I came here to get a decent pair of frames at a very reasonable cost. I found the lady whom served me to be very patient and helpful.

When I somehow managed to smash my ridiculously over-priced(by oh-so-dear to my fashionista soul) Prada sunglasses right as we were starting to finally get some sunny weather — I was devastated. I frantically called Sunglass Hut and asked if they could repair my precious shades, but the sales rep who answered the phone was rude and less helpful than my also ridiculously over-priced pet rock. After calming myself from a brief moment of rage and sadness, I began scouring the net for optical repair places. I will admit, Lenscrafters WAS first on my list… But boy was I ever glad(well after the fact) when I rolled in there only to be told they were very busy and I would have to wait or come back the next day. After a second moment of calming, I decided to walk over to Sears to do a return… And there like the gods and angels and all the messiahs were shining a light on it was Sears Optical. The worker was fast, friendly and extremely sweet to me! She quoted me about 10 minutes to fix the piece on my glasses that had broken and only $ 10 for the piece! It ended up taking her closer to 15 minutes as she was the lone worker and a few other customers needed assistance, but I didn’t mind one bit. She apologized over and over for making me wait and gave me a free cleaning cloth! Amazing service and highly recommend.

Generally I don’t buy glasses frames from department stores — just seems they’re pricier than the Asian ones one can bargain, or not as chic as the more stylish optical stores on Robson. Yes, there was a great deal a few months ago, buy one frame, get the 2nd25% off, and also a 3rd one, 50% off. I actually used a prescription from the year before, but I just found out recently that they only charge $ 80 for an eye exam. Another good thing to point out is they provide some pretty good service, with the fitting and all, even after you wear it after a week or a month and if something doesn’t fit right, they’ll gladly adjust it! And not try to make you buy something else, lol.
