Quick and Reliable Service. It has that coffee shop feel when it comes to one of those«perfect nights. Especially in the winter, just sipping on a hot latte while the snow falling looks like a perfect way to celebrate those holidays.

I know that this location exits on Unilocal, however, cannot find it at the moment, therefore, please feel free to merge this with another review that I did on this location 2 years ago? I came here with fellow Unilocaler and meet-up buddy Edwin G to have an art day session in which we sipped lattes and worked on our art project. We got so lost in our art project that we spent 4 hours in the coffee. So much time that my jacket picked up the smell of coffee and so did my under clothes :) The barista was really really nice and she kept looking over at the progression of our abstract art pieces. My piece has been posted on my facebook. Seating in this location is a bit weird. There is ample seating. Pastries that day were a little slim ’cause we came after the rush but still a few pre-boxed treats. Thanks Traci for making us feel welcome that day.

Are all Starbucks the same? This is a slightly larger store, a good mix of couches and seats, also with bar seating. The baristas were very friendly, and there was a good stream of regulars, who the staff knew. They have a fairly large covered patio, though I’m not sure how effective the covering will be in the Vancouver rain — it was a lovely sunny day on the day I was there. Half of the patio is heated. The store was clean and tidy as you expect a Starbucks to be.

Meh. I come here almost every morning with Mr. J because it’s right beside the train. More often than not, there is a problem with my drink. My review is soley motivated by my experience this morning. As mentioned, I come here quite a bit. Almost every morning. I don’t get the same thing, but it’s always the same style of drink: tripple venti, half sweet, non fat, easy whip. Every. Single. Time. I even call the order correctly. I’ve worked at Starbucks before, so I know my drink was written up properly, I saw it happen. This morning as my caramel flan latte was being made, I looked over to see the barista about to whip my drink. I interrupted her because my drink is easy whip, and there was about 4 inches(no exaggeration) from the liquid level to the rim of the cup. I politley reminded the barista, «easy whip please». She said ok, sprayed a dolop of whip on my drink, put the drizzle on, poured more milk in over my whip, and served me my drink, which wasn’t pretty, was still 1.5 inches short of the rim, and not properly mixed. I didn’t say anything, just took my drink and left, but as I was walking up the escallator I wish I had said something, because my drink isn’t cheap. I figure if collectively my household is spending 3 – 400 $ a month at Starbucks(for shame, I know) I should get what I order the way it is supposed to be made. Today’s rant aside, I’m not really a fan of this location overall. Some of the staff are awesome, but others are not. There is one woman in particular whom I have witnessed interacting with other baristas and just being downright condescending and rude, in full auditory and visual range of customers. I don’t know why, but it’s happened a few times in front of me, and always makes me feel uncomfortable. Pros: convenient locatgion Cons: pretty much everything else, in my opinion. Sorry Starbucks. As a company, I love you, as a location, this one sucks.

As Starbucks go this one is not bad. It’s clean and the barista’s are friendly. Nothing really wowed me, but much better than my local store(Highgate Starbucks = sketchy)

They were busy in the morning. It’s understandable. But the cashier was quite impatient and rude.

My favorite Starbucks so far in the area. Not only did the staff make my son a special batman themed drink when we came in with said 4-year-old dressed in an impromptu costume, everyone working got in on the fun. Lines are short and speedy, there’s a plug almost anywhere within reach inside, and its always busy — but not so busy that there’s nowhere to sit. If only there were parking nearby that didn’t cost $ and mandatorily expire after 2hrs! I’d likely spend a lot more time here if it weren’t for that one issue. Otherwise, it’s perfect, and the staff even more so.
