Swimco Metropolis At Metrotown

A few months ago, I came into Swim Co. wanting to start a new activity and I was very nervous as I’ve never truly owned a bathing suit in my life.
A woman named Jenny helped me and she was very kind and patient. I tried on several swim suits and even though I couldn’t decide right away she was very patient and kept suggesting other items. I would not have purchased anything if it wasn’t for her and would have left empty handed from anxiety and frustration but she made what I thought was going to be a stressful ordeal entirely pleasant.
I’ve come back here several times for accessories and other things and I constantly get greeted with kindness and was even recognized by a staff member. I plan on shopping here for the rest of my swimming needs.

Incredibly insulting customer service.
Visited on 10/​21, accused of «stealing» when the cashier forgot to give me the item.
Will not go back anytime sooner

Super friendly staff. Being a single dad with a very body conscious daughter means its difficult for me to get my little one to try on anything. Usually its walk in, pick up the nearest item and out. The staff were amazing and helped her try different items and pick something that she really likes. Would recommend these staff to anyone as very customer focused and super friendly.

There is a battle between myself and swimwear. If I had it my way, I would still wear that ugly black swim suit with a t-​shirt over it like I did in elementary/​high school. I don’t have the perfect figure, however, finding the suit to enhance or appreciate what you do have rather than show what you don’t or shouldn’t is hard to find. I had no luck here and felt hopeless.

Who likes shopping for swimwear? Lets see a show of hands. Yep, that’s what I thought! No one has put their hand up because swimwear shopping is what one may consider torture.
Last week I needed to waste some time after having my eyes dilated at the eye doctor so I decided to see if I might pick up a new suit for my upcoming family trip to the island. Previous shopping trips for a bathing suit have had me a wreck in the change room bawling my eyes out. This time I was fully prepared for that to happen but guess what, it never did!!!
I had the BEST service imaginable at the store and was out in less than 30 minutes with a suit that fit, hiding the wobbly bits that I wanted it to and I felt good about myself! Who has ever had that experience? Sure as heck not me! Needless to say I will be back when I need a new suit or even for a cover up. They made the experience so much better than previous experience and I didn’t need the box of tissues that i had mentally put in my handbag!
