History
Established in 1979.
Bea’s Braiding is truly the first hair extensions facility in Western. Over the last 30 years we’ve still maintained the highest hair quality, service and the largest selection.
Our 3000 square foot Victorian house on 17th Ave and the corner of Macleod Tr. is highly visible and easy to access by everyone. The shop is unique, nice and most customers talk about feeling relaxed and at home when visiting and/or having their hair done.
For the quality, service and amount of hair we provide, our prices are extremely reasonable. We fix competitors’ mistakes nearly everyday.

Business Owner
Bea Twumasi of Bea’s Braiding and Hair Extensions has been doing her extensions in Calgary for over 30 yrs. Bea is friendly, full of life and very professional in her work. Hair is truly her passion and she has been featured in several news papers and also on TV stations about her work, for example on «A’ Channel» and «Global». She volunteers her services and teaches in high schools and hair dressing schools about her extensions and ethnic hair maintenance. Her shop caters for celebrities locally and around the world. Bea has been flown to many US and Canadian cities to do hair. In addition to this, some clients have flown from other parts of Canada and places all over the world, including Asia, Europe and the USA to have their hair done by Bea’s. Among her clients are people of all walks of life: adults and children, men and women, celebrities, hair stylists, as well as clients with medical needs.
