History

Established in 2009.

Heading West on Highway #1, at the ‘entrance to the Rockies’, is a comfortable, approachable and resourceful ski rental owned and operated by Bill Bewcyk, a 24 year veteran of the Calgary retail ski industry. Reminiscent of Bill’s roots and early experiences as a ski competitor and enthusiast, this ‘old school’ operation focuses on accessibility, service and honouring the outdoor pursuits available in our magnificent Canadian landscape. Bill’s focus is to serve Calgarians, tourists and athletes of all levels enjoying their downhill, cross-​country and snowboarding adventures with the same passion and joy that he himself experiences.

By far the greatest asset to the venture is the owner himself. Billy B, as he is known in the industry brings charisma and charm that is simply second to none in the industry. This store is the culmination of his lifetime of experience and adventures. With three sons and a beautiful wife to share his enthusiasm, this shop is an extension of his lifestyle and priorities. Family run, family friendly and a place where your personal ski experience and connection to the outdoors is far more important than how much you spent or how good you look.
