Blaskin & Lane Tire Centres

I’ve been a customer for over 20 years. Today is a Saturday and I brought my car in to get new tires put on. I received a call at 3:53 leaving a message that my car was ready. I called my ride to come get me and we made our way to the shop. During that time they had called again to indicate they closed at 4:00 (that means I got 7 minutes notice from the first call). This went to voice mail so I did not get a chance to talk to anyone. When I arrived they were closed and my car was parked INSIDE. Here’s the issue, I’ve never been late or had any complaints nor have I ever not paid and my car has always been parked outside. Today I can’t take it and leave my cheque in the key slot box (which I was prepared to do) or come pay on Monday. Now I’m without my car for the remainder of the weekend and will have to arrange to come get it early Monday for work. After years of coming here as a loyal customer I’d expect them to work with me not against me. I will be searching for a new place to get my tires winter/​summer tires switched over.

I went to this B&L store on the beginning of winter 2012 to search for a new winter tire set. They offered me a higher price than their competitors, but the sales person lied to me with a platinum service, where promise to exchange your winter and summer set of tires twice every year as long last the tires you purchase with them. That is a huge lie, because instead of give you the service, they give you a fake 50% off. They charged me today $ 135.00 dollars for a tire exchange.
I don’t recommend this place to any situation, even emergency, because they will rob you with their lies.

I needed some new winter tires, so I of course scoured Unilocal and found Blaskin & Lane. They are relatively close to my house and when I called, gave me a friendly and honest quote. I made an appointment and even though I was running a few minutes late, they weren’t busy and told me it was no problem. They said it would take about an hour, and luckily I brought a book with me, as I found the waiting area to be pretty bleak. Add a couple newspapers and maybe turn up the radio — it was really quiet and super boring. It ended up only being about 45 min though, which was awesome. The price I paid was what I was quoted, no surprises there. I’ll definitely be returning to get my summer tires put on in a couple of months. Also — when I returned for the re-​torque, there was no wait & the young man who came out and did it took 2 minutes and was super friendly. Given that I’m a female who knows nothing about cars (or their maintenance), I really appreciate integrity & good customer service.

I was able to get an appointment pretty much right away. When I got there for 4 new tires I waited no more than an hour for the service then was tod it was time to pay. My bill came and it was not a penny more than I was quoted, although I was asked if I wanted the extra insurance for $ 21 bucks a tire. It seemed like a fine idea to me because I will take full advantage of it anyways. I went back to them the next day for their recommended re-​tourqing and was pleased that it took 3 minutes and I didn’t have to wait at all.
Full marks for efficiency here. They don’t have the cheapest tires available which can be hard to swallow but you know their Bridgestone tires at least are top quality and will last a long time! I’ll probably just keep going to them for my tires from now on.

Good service. Very friendly. It only took me 3 days to get an appointment.
