Bow Bottom Veterinary Hospital & Boarding Centre

I really, really love the staff at Bow Bottom Vet Hospital. They take really good care of my guy and, even though they re busy and only have 1 vet, they are always willing to help, call me to get me in if there’s a cancellation, and always have another recommendation if I’m calling for some advice. I really like the way they operate — a lot of suggestions and are very conscious of the fact that you may not want to pony up a bunch for every single item and are willing to help you choose the direction you should take.
They respond in a timely fashion and think my dog is adorable (I mean, come on he is) and aren’t pushy about everything. It’s amazing. Will continue to go here as long as the staff is awesome and friendly and helpful.

This place is brutal. I will NEVER bring my dog here again. They are never able to look at him in a timely fashion. I brought him to have his nails done here and the cut his paw open somehow. I came to pick him up and asked about him bleeding. They denied it being there fault even though there is no was he came in with a bleeding paw before. The best part? They said there was nothing they could do about it! Wouldn’t even look at it! Of course they are too busy sitting there doing nothing. Had also brought my dog in for an emergency due to a cut in his rib cage. After waiting 15 minutes to even talk to someone they told me they couldn’t help in a very rude manor.

These guys are amazing. All the techs are super helpful and Dr. Schell knows her stuff.

I have been bringing my dog here for many years, and since then he has seen 2 different vets. Dr. Schell is the only vet here now and she is WONDERFUL! I don’t know how they compare to other vets in terms of pricing (though I’ve been told that they are pricier), but the staff are loving, kind, amazing, accommodating, and caring. Dr. Schell has a lot of different certificates on the walls. I love that she takes a holistic approach to vet care, suggesting massages, different essential oils, she is even certified in animal acupuncture! Ok, so some might find this «hippy» or quirky but I love it :) Not only does she look at the whole well-​being of my dog, but I love that she isn’t pushy (intimidating you to do procedures — which I’ve had happen before). She is super duper nice AND also very knowledgeable and diagnosed my friend’s dog upon walking into the room (where other vets where not able to).
