This place has such amazing service. They were so kind to our sick cat and got us in very quickly on a Sunday morning. After their helpful and kind care, we are thinking of switching to make this our regular vet!

They took amazing care of my cat, period. To give you an idea, I live a solid 45 minutes from this place and in the event of any veterinary emergency I would HAPPILY make the drive to get my pets cared for here. The entire place looked immaculately clean, which was wonderful. The prices they gave me were lower than other vet hospitals, and the care was by far the best I’ve ever experienced. My cat stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days, with daily ultrasounds to moniter the progress on a nasty bout of pancreatitis. They phoned to give me updates every morning, and even when I asked the vet techs to physically go in and look at her and tell me how she was doing they were happy to oblige. Any time she needed a new procedure that required another payment, I was phoned in advance and usually given a couple of options. They brought my cat out to visit me every evening and allowed me use of a private room for visiting and cuddling her for as long as I wanted. They even brought me a blanket for her to nap on, and food bowls so I could bring her snacks. When it came time to pay the bill and they had given me compassion pricing and waived a couple of fees without me even asking, I was very happy.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The love they have for pets is unreal. They go above and beyond even at 2am. I feel very confidant that when I see them with a issue they are not going to try and rob me blind.
I recommend them every time.

This place is amazing! Unfortunately I was referred to Western first and it cost $ 700 to walk in the door and they quoted me an additional $ 5500 for minor surgery on my dog. They told me if I couldn’t afford it I should go to Fishcreek, which I did and they did the surgery for $ 1000 and took amazing care of me and my dog. I am appalled with Western that they think they can gouge people who are in distress about their pets and take advantage of emotions like that. Go to Fishcreek for all your emergencies and regular visits. Dr. Kyono was open, honest and caring and she did a great job on my dog. They even kept her for 1.5 days at no extra cost.

I wish I knew about this place before spending $ 3600 at Western for a laceration repair last year. That one still stings. I have a regular vet close to home who I am very happy with but this is my new clinic for emergencies. I’ve been there after hours a couple of times in the past week. No pressure to do unnecessary tests, no guilt, straightforward advice on what is best for my pet, not their bottom line. I said goodbye to my dog last night and they were compassionate and professional. Plus I wasn’t gouged.

THE BEST VETERINARY CLINIC IN THE CITY — hands down! Dr. Mark Norman & his associates truly CARE about your pets. It’s very apparent that they have your pet’s best interest at heart, it’s not about the money here — it’s all about your pet! There’s no rushing you in & out the door here, they take the time to make sure that you understand what is happening & that both you & your pet are well taken care of AND they follow up with phone calls to make sure everything is going well too! The Fish Creek Emergency is now in a beautiful new building & they have all the latest diagnostic equipment to make sure your pet gets the best care possible. I’ve been a client since they opened their doors in 2005 and I’ve NEVER had a bad experience. We live in the far Northwest in Calgary and always make the trek to Fish Creek. If you’re tired of you & your pocketbook being taken advantage of in emergency situations, I HIGHLY recommend you use Fish Creek 24 hour emergency. They also have 2 other clinics for regular vet visits, Little Creek Veterinary Clinic (at the old Fish Creek location) or Southpointe Pet Hospital. You will find that all 3 clinics have the same level of care for your pets.

If you have Canine Companion clinic as your regular vet, and this place as your vet hospital, you officially have the best care available for your dogs in Calgary. Watch for these people as they move to their new place soon, their existing digs aren’t too fancy (wooden bench seating). I had Katie as my vet tonight, I drove from Royal Oak all the way to Shawnessy (45minutes without traffic) purely because this is the best vet hospital in town.
If money is no object hit up Western (10^th ave), but if you’re just looking for the best care and a reasonable price, Fishcreek Pet Hospital is where you need to be.

This is a great vet and they are open ²⁴⁄₇. They are talented surgeons and diagnosticians and they are good people

Dr. Mark is amazing. We have taken all our pets there and he has been amazing with them all. My dog had to have her eye removed and they were so careful to explain everything to me and when she had to have her second eye removed they gave me constant updates over the phone because they knew I was nervous. We recently had to put her down and dr mark stayed an extra 1.5 hours after he was off to wait for me to bring her in because he had been there through everything else. He made me feel like I was doing the right thing and that she was ok and gave me a few pats on the shoulder. When I get a new dog this will be the only vet I take them to. The front staff is so friendly and throughout everything with my pets *and between mine we have been there a lot* we have never felt rushed or had anything but a pleasant experience.

Despite being quite busy, the Fish Creek Pet Hospital is by far the best vet we’ve been to for our dog.
We always recommend our friends go here as well, as the vets here are so caring and even though they are busy, they don’t make you feel rushed to get in and out. When our dog goes in for his shots or a checkup they take the time to talk about him in depth, and frequently do a complimentary nail clip for him.
Our dog enjoys coming here, he gets very comfortable with the vets, and has no anxiety about shots or checkups because of the calming atmosphere they create.

I call to get my friend dog in and they took her in and made it easy for us to not worry about paying right one the spot because of money trouble and when I walked in they took the dog in and right fast to the back

Our regular vet recommended we go here when our 8.5yr old boxer had a cardiac episode as they were 1) Open 24 hrs, and 2) set up to handle emergency situations better. Sadly, our beloved dog passed away enroute. There was little left to be done at that point, so we entrusted them with taking care of the final arrangements for our dog; a necropsy to find out exactly what happened to him, and a private cremation.
After a month, they finally called to tell us that our dog was delivered to the wrong location, and as a result, not only did he not get the requested necropsy, but he was mass cremated and we couldn’t even get his ashes back. To add insult to injury, they told us it wasn’t their fault, the courier made the mistake, and implied we should be grateful that one of the partner vets had spent a whole day of her time making phone calls to try and track down the error. Small comfort to our three young children and ourselves as we spend years mourning the loss of an animal we can’t even properly put to rest because of their blunder. Absolutely unacceptable attitude from people that are supposed to not just care for animals, but about them!

This place is amazing. We take our two cats and our dog here. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We drive from the northwest all the way down to the clinic. I would not bring my pets anywhere else.

The Fish Creek Pet Hospital has been phenomenal for me. They have extended hours past when the average vet is open, so I’ve made not just a few phone calls on holidays or in the evenings to ask about pet-​related questions (usually starting with «My dog just ate X — should I be worried?») They’ve saved me so much $$ just for that alone.
I had to visit the physical location for the first time a few weeks back when my mom’s cat was exhibiting symptoms of urinary tract infection. My regular vet didn’t have any appointment times open but I was able to walk into Fish Creek. There was no wait at all and the cat eventually got diagnosed with a wicked urinary tract AND kidney infection. They were very friendly, kept the cat for a few hours to run some tests and followed up a few times by phone. The cost wasn’t as bad as I thought considering all the tests that had been done, plus medication & special food.
I don’t wish vet visits on anyone, but if you’re needing to hit one up I can highly recommend Fish Creek Pet Hospital.

Fantastic group of staff here at Fish Creek. Dr. Mark Norman is awesome! He’s friendly and answers all questions. Everyone here is very caring and loves pets. Our dog actually enjoys going to the vet!

Spectacular Staff. Very good price (as far as vet care goes).
I went here after I called to get a second estimate for a procedue for my Cat. I was give an estimate originally of 2,500 $ to 4,000 $. Their Estimate for the exact same procedure 800 $ to 1,300 $ (max). I lost it on the other vet clinic and fired my regular vet for recommending them. Because of the original 4,000 $ estimate I was on the verge of putting him down before getting a second opinion.
Words cannot properly express how caring and friendly the staff at this clinic was; after explaining to me the treatment and getting my permission to go ahead they were supportive in a way few human medical practitioners are.
While distraught I was pacing the block and the receptionist came out to find me, jsut to tell me that the procedure went well and that my cat would be alright. I left him there overnight and reccieved continuous updates by phone.
I am now going there for any vet treatment or check up in the future,

This is an awesome vet clinic run by exceptionally sweet ladies. I took our newest member of the family here to get the last of his shots and the staff made him feel so at ease, he didn’t even notice or flinch when the needle went in! One of the vets even followed me in to Pet Planet next door when I forgot something at the front desk, hehe. They’re going through a bit of renovations in the front lobby, but aside from that, it’s very clean and doesn’t have that weird «we covered up the poo with ammonia» smell that a lot of vet clinics have.
