If you haven’t had a Spanish latte… run don’t walk to this place. This coffee shop is massive. So much room. I used to go to the 50th ave Brittania location but it recently closed down(less than a year open???). Hopefully the 4th street location stays a float. I don’t come here often but when I do, the Spanish latte is a nice treat!

This particular Caffè Artigiano is located conveniently for me, and I find myself holding casual coffee meetings and picking up lunch here quite often. I usually order a triple Americano(yes, I’m boring) so I really can’t comment on some of the other delicious-looking drink options, but I am always enticed by the other caffeinated drink options that’s for sure. Also, I LOVE their salmon sandwich. It’s very generous salmon-filling-wise and I like how it comes toasted to perfection. As a bonus, they will give you a small salad if you enjoy it in-store.

I’ve been to a few of these cafes in Calgary and Vancouver, but this one leaves me looking for more. Coffee never matches what’s written on their menu board, and I’ve seen staff fighting with each other. No wifi here, I was told it’s to discourage people from staying too long — I’ve never seen it full so I guess it works. I don’t like their coffee much, but the food I’ve had is pretty good, I guess that’s a redeeming thing about dropping in here.

Hidden in the shell building downstairs Artigiano is a hipster style café. It is a bit of a chain with a location in Vancouver and another one in Calgary on 6th avenue. I tried the hot chocolate but it was more foam than cocoa. And the espresso macchiato… Maybe I don’t know espresso but it was too burnt to be enjoyed. I was very awake after but I wasn’t blown away by the purity of its flavour… Eh. Had better. And I expect more from these cafes. They should be better than the big chains like Starbucks or second cup… Sip slowly my friends. It’s all about the after taste!

Can a coffee shop be a five star experience? Maybe not, but the rating system is a tad limited here, I rate this higher than the other downtown location as it is bigger and the coffee line isn’t jammed up against most of the seating(the short coming at the other spot). This is a good spot for a mid-morning or mid-afternoon meeting, and to get your coffee on. I love the coffee and will go out of my way for Artigiano, which always makes me happy.

Caffè Artigiano was a pleasant surprise during a recent business trip to Calgary. It’s located right off the Shell Centre Lobby and I certainly didn’t expect such a nice coffee house to be located here. My cup of black coffee was rich, hot and fresh, the pastry selection was varied and tempting, and the service was welcoming and spot on. Caffè Artigiano is open early and was later a convenient spot for a more casual individual business get togethers.

Caffe Artigiano is a great place to hold a meeting, a first date, or just an afternoon cup a joe with some colleagues. And for you early birds, this place is open at 6:00am! The Spanish Latte offers you flavours you just won’t get anywhere else with its delicious condensed milk, it will have you saying MUYBIEN! The staff is always very welcoming and very friendly, definitely worthy of a small tip when the option appears on their debit machine.(I know, I hate that too) My one and only issue with Caffe Artigiano is the same with any fancy coffee joints — the price. Today I paid almost 10 dollars for two beverages and one was the wrong size :(I should’ve said something but the poor barista was on wheels with no one helping him and a lineup. I did leave with a smile on my face though after tasting my delicious chai latte. mmm mmmm milky, cinnamony goodness. If you’re meeting a friend or colleague, be sure to suggest CAFFEARTIGIANO in Shell Centre. You will be happy you did once you see the cutesie art they put in your latte :) But let’s face it, when they do the heart it’s like«whoa buddy, I’m married. Keep it in your pants.» am I right? jk.

Coffee how it should be. The ‘Artigiano Experience’ starts with the smell when you step in, continues with the diligence each coffee is prepared and finally ends with the joy drinking it. This is Italian style coffee culture — bravo!

When you want to pull away from the star struck bucks you can count on Caffe Artigiano to step up to the plate. This place is always full of people meeting for meetings or meeting just to take some time off of having to do work. The staff here are super friendly and quick to make a great coffee brew to your tastes. There’s not much for me to say except that so far I’ve tried the Caffe Latte, Caffe Mocha and Americano and they are delicious! When I’m too lazy to head over to Centennial Place for a Tim Horton’s Steeped Tea I am definitely down here getting my Artigiano on. Get it. Me either. Let’s move on…

I’ll tell you something I really like about Artigiano… Not only is it some of the best coffee I’ve had(and definitely the best espresso in the city), they are not afraid to use the«T-word»(Tall) or the«G-word»(Grande) for their sizes. Unlike some other coffee shops, where you get a scowl or a condescending smile when letting one of these expletives slip, Artigiano is confident enough in the quality of their product that they don’t feel the need to separate themselves from«the Evil One» in this way. Thank you, Artigiano, for your unassuming confidence.
