Description

Specialties

Brand new schedule providing yoga for every body.

At Calgary Hot Yoga we provide sequenced and non-sequenced classes. Sequencing (meaning the class is the same every time) allows the body to flow through poses while calming the mind. As we learn the sequence, we no longer have to think about what is coming, we just know, and with muscle memory our bodies flow through the asanas (poses) creating an atmosphere of meditation.

New to CHY are non-sequenced classes. These classes like ‘Free Flow’ or ‘Pure Yin’ are different each time, creating a greater connection of body and mind. As we challenge the body through poses, the mind has to connect with the body to figure out how to move our muscles in the direction we want to the body to go!

All our classes are all levels. We recommend those brand new to hot yoga try out a Hot 26 class for their first time.

History

Established in 2001.

Calgary Hot Yoga opened it’s doors January of 2001. Since then we have been helping Calgarians to heal, challenge and strengthen their bodies.

Over the years we have added new classes and adjusted our schedule to better serve the needs of the yoga community in Calgary. We continue to evolve and change and are always open to new ideas and suggestions.

Meet the Business Owner

Craig E.

Business Owner

I began practicing yoga, specifically hot yoga, in 2006. As life’s obstacles popped up, as they do for all of us, my yoga practice helped me though those times. Who knows where I would be today if not for yoga!

As opportunities presented themselves, I began to follow. First by taking my teacher training and beginning to teach yoga in 2008. In 2010, I started to manage Calgary Hot Yoga and in 2011 I was given the amazing challenge of owning the studio.

No matter what kind of day I am having, running a business is not always easy, once I step into the studio space I feel at home. Whether practicing or teaching, I know CHY is where I am meant to be.
