This isn’t really an actual police station as much as it is a center for volunteers that coordinate police efforts in the neighborhood. I wasn’t even aware such a thing existed until just revently when I mis-placed my wallet, and it was turned in at this location. I dealt with a few of the volunteers here over the course of this situation(one on the phone and 3 when I came in to pick it up) and all of them were very friendly and helpful. I’ve had to go into actual police stations a number of times and HATE doing it because everybody always seems so up tight and irritable, and it seems like you stand in line 5 times longer than it takes to do whatever you came for. These stations could learn a lot from this volunteer outlet as it pertains to dealing with the public as, for the first time in my extensive experience, I left a building with the CPS logo on the sign with a smile on my face, happy about the experience. I’m sure most people would never need any of the services offered by this location, which is why I’m the first one to review it, but if you ever do wind up having to come here for something, count yourself lucky… it’s really the best option in terms of dealing with the Calgary Police Service. 29⁄30
