It is so hard to not go into this store and try to restrain yourself from buying all the tea, their adorable mugs and super handy tea infuser tumblers or jugs. While I think they have awesome products, I think what really makes Davids Tea awesome(besides the tea) are their quirky and fun staff. I found that they’re all super knowledgeable in all the teas and are able to recommend specific teas based on what you like. They offer you a sample of their tea of the day right away and it’s from there you basically want to try and smell like everything. They’re wiling to let you smell like practically all the teas on their wall and give you their full attention. I HIGHLY recommend you get one of their fruity iced teas during super nice/warm days as it is SO refreshing and there are several teas that are sweet on their own, that you don’t really need to add any sweetener to them. My currently favourite is raspberry mojito(I believe it’s part of their summer collection, so try it during the summer!) and you definitely don’t need any sweetener as the raspberry flavour is pretty strong for a tea. However beware, while sometimes I find the teas smell amazing, it sometimes doesn’t always translate well when you actually brew the tea itself. I find more so with the hot teas then the cold ones. Also, I am much more of a bare tea kinda person(no milk, sweetener, whatever), the fruitier ones tend to be stronger on their own, especially iced. Davids makes the whole tea sampling and buying experience awesome and it’ll definitely make you want to return.

I went to the newly opened David’s Tea at CrossIron Mills Mall on April 5, 2016 at about 4 pm. There was only one other customer in the store and 3 staff working at the time. I was not greeted, acknowledged or asked if I needed any assistance the whole time I was in the store(about 10 minutes). This is a totally unacceptable lack of customer service. I took my business to another store in the mall where I felt appreciated to buy my tea.

Found David’s while meandering through downtown Calgary, and so happy we did. Ashley and Amanda were so helpful, and patient — I think we looked at half of the tea wall by the time we left. Very excited about my Buddha’s Blend! Wish we were locals — I would definitely be a regular customer.

I really like their organic teas. Not a huge fan of the non-organics as they seem to have lots of flavouring in them. A bit pricy for a cup of tea, but i still would recommend visiting a David’s tea, it’s always fun and staff is really friendly, or high on tea… ;)

Let me start by saying this — I’m not a tea person. While meandering through Calgary downtown, David’s was giving away little samples of iced green tea and I tried it. Pretty good. The lady mentioned that they have a little game just outside, where a number of cups are arranged and you are given three chances to throw the tea bags inside those cups, to win free teas. Oh well, why not, so I gave it a shot and won two cups of free tea! Yayyyy… So, we went inside the shop and I was flabbergasted. They had 150 varieties of teas and you can smell the flavors before ordering them. My head started spinning because I had no clue what to order. I saw Banana Split flavor and ordered it. Turned out to be pretty nice. Highly recommend David’s tea for tea lovers.

Great selection, fair prices and off the chart Innovating. I loved the summer time Ice Tea campaign and the tea pop campaign soon after. This company is always re-inventing the tea industry and I am happy to be a customer of theirs. I enjoy their Green Rooibos, Cold 911 and Pink Lemonade. Keep up the good work!

This review may have completely slipped through the cracks(because I did not bookmark it! Ahh! Moron!) if it were not for what took place yesterday. You see, when I visited Calgary and was looking for something to bring home to AT as a gift, I was almost at a loss until I happened upon David’s Tea. At the time, I had no idea that I would become a long-time customer. I tell the story to friends whenever I remember it. I saw David’s Tea as we were walking around 8th Avenue and I ran to it because it was as if the gods had placed it before me right at that moment to save me of my anguish for not having found appropriate trinkets to bring home to my beloved(yeah, yeah, mushy lovey-dovey talk, just hang in there). You see, we are both avid tea drinkers and love trying different varieties. Being from a Vietnamese family, I mostly drank jasmine tea growing up and was pretty indifferent about it. As I got older, I tried other types and even jasmine grew on me. I developed a true appreciation for the flavor of various types of teas, with my favorites being black and oolong. Oh, let’s not forget matcha. I love that(expensive) grassy, bright green powdered tea leaves, holy crap. I ran in with my older cousin in tow. I asked the lady at the counter to pull down tins of tea for me to smell and I became entranced by the vast variety and the wonderful aromas wafting from the containers as the lids were being popped off for me and other customers. I got crazy. I wanted so many different kinds and I started to spit out the names of the ones that caught my attention. By the time everything was tallied up, the total was maybe slightly higher than I had bargained for but I happily handed over my debit card. I hadn’t noticed as I was picking all my teas without a care in the world, but my cousin must have had her jaw hanging on the ground. When the nice woman who helped me told me the total, my cousin couldn’t contain herself. «What?! You are buying white people’s tea! This is so expensive! Don’t buy this. I will take you to a Chinese store and you can buy this delicious oolong from Taiwan for much less and it is better.» I literally burst out laughing. My cousin is truly not a bigot but coming from Vietnam to Canada right before she turned 20, some habits die hard. I understood her distress at how much I was paying for blended teas but I had to soothe her by explaining that I enjoyed both«pure»(Asian-style) teas and also flavor-infused ones. She gave in because it was my money anyway and she loves me in a way that not many people do. I hope you will understand me one day, chi Hai! :* Well, I brought home about six varieties in August 2014 and the oolong was gone yesterday. I made the last teapot and was seriously mourning my loss. Not joking. I freaked out, thinking how would I ever get to drink it again. I quickly ran to my computer and hit up the Google to find a solution. Well, I’ll be damned. I can buy stuff online! My cart filled up in minutes and by the time I was done, my total came up to over a Franklin bill. And I have no ZERO buyer’s remorse(which rarely happens!). My shipment of 8 teas and some knick-knacks is coming from Canada and I got a courtesy email from Canada Post about it already being in transit. David’s Tea is one of the more expensive that I have had but the flavor blends are absolutely fantastic. They are balanced and exquisite and I say this after having had many kinds from my own local tea shop(Zen Tea in Chamblee, GA) and France’s Dammann Frères. They are both excellent but I have to be true to myself. My favorite teas have been from David’s so I anticipate spending more money for the foreseeable future to replenish my supply. Did I tell you that I am tracking my package every two minutes to see when it will come? I am so excited! :D

4 stars for marketing, 3 stars for not organic tea. Liked how they give their tea samples in a shooter glass. Nice tin cans for Christmas. In this nice area of shopping stores down the street.

The staff at this location are kooky and exciting, and make coming into David’s a welcoming and hilarious adventure. They love letting you sniff all their teas and give great advice on new things to try without making you feel like you’re wasting their time. I am in love with the tea products, but this location is superb for an overall tea buying and sampling experience.

Davids Tea is way too delicious. As a big tea fan, Davids Tea is a necessary destination for me on a regular basis. They offer more teas than you could ever hope to remember. This location has a very friendly guy on staff who is very helpful at finding teas that you would like. I always end up buying way too much tea, although that’s misleading because I never regret it. Don’t be too scared off by the prices, the tea is worth it! Every kind of tea you could ever want.

Thanks to Jennie M, Unilocal Edmonton’s CM, for introducing me to David’s Tea, I’m a loyal fan and always try to fit in a visit to a David’s Tea location whenever I am in Canada. The staff at all of the locations I’ve been to have consistently been friendly, knowledgeable on the teas, happy to recommend their personal suggestions(and let me smell them), and patient as I choose what I’m in the mood for. This downtown Calgary location was no exception. I’m not normally a «pink person,» but«pink flamingo» and«pink lemonade» are two tea flavors at David’s that haven’t let me down. Both herbal without caffeine, tart with a natural sweetness, and good hot or cold, I’m a huge fan. If these don’t appeal to you though, I am sure you’ll find something that does — David’s Tea has so many options! It’s worth noting that there are limited seating options at all of the locations I’ve been to, but this one happens to have a few tables in front by the window. I lucked out and scored one on my recent visit. I sat and sipped my tea and people-watched a bit before a meeting I had and it was perfect. The stores are typically bright and they also sell some great tea-related gifts and accessories as well. I’d love for David’s Tea to start opening locations in the US, but until then, I plan on getting my fix every chance I get!

I love David’s tea. So when I caught a bad cold on the plane we had to go here to get me some of their organic cold 911& bravissimo tea. I swear, I got better faster & didn’t suffer through the worst symptoms because of that. And as usual, the staff are helpful & nice. They just open later than their voicemail said on a Sunday!

Seriously, who doesn’t love tea? This place is amazing, there are so many flavours to choose from and tons of accessories for your home. The staff are great they will walk you through whatever questions you have about the tea and give you their honest opinion. I love that David’s Tea carries the Bodum line and I love that this location has lots of natural light shinning in! It really brightens the store up! The summer teas are fantastic and I love that they have they in small sampler packs for you to try! This location is right near the train so it’s really convenient to access, if you’re in the neighbourhood I highly recommend stopping in and getting a hot or cold tea to go!

Needing my tea fix and refusing to go to the mall locations I popped in here. The staff wasn’t as helpful as Banff, but still pleasent. I tried the new thing they have, the poptea. It’s tea with carbonated water and you can add sweetner. It was delish! Bubbly and fizz and tea. I went with the pineapple oolong. I work around the corner so I def need to start coming here more, as I’m so happy there is tea places.

The people who work at David’s tea are always super friends and very accommodating. They are all knowledgeable about the teas they carry and are consistent in offering samples. Soma Spa is just across the street and we take our daily breaks to pick up some David’s Tea. Our clients know Soma Spa loves David’s Tea so much they have bought us gift certificates so that we can take our breaks there! We’re so happy they are so close!

David’s Tea just might be one of my favourite places to visit. I cut out coffee on January 1st, and am still going strong thanks to David’s delicious selections. I’ve cut out waiting in the Starbucks line, and instead make the jaunt down Stephen Ave to get my daily tea. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable — tell them what you like, and they’re able to provide suggestions to you. I have never been disappointed with anything I’ve tried here. I highly recommend the Bodum French tea press as well!

If you’re a tea fan like myself, David’s TEA is heavenly! The girls behind the counter were really friendly and offered us a sample immediately as we walked in. Their selection of teas is vast and almost overwhelming. They also have a great display of tea paraphernalia for your perusing pleasure. The only improvement I would suggest is to have more tables for people to sit and enjoy their teas. Currently, this place is great for a quick pick me up or an intimate date.
