History

Established in 2015.

Eye Q Optometry was founded by Dr. Sarah Freiburger, OD, and Dr. Theresa Taylor, OD, in the hopes of creating a different type of optometric environment. Both Sarah and Theresa studied optometry at the University of Waterloo, where they obtained their Doctor of Optometry. Having been practicing in Calgary for several years, both Doctors decided it was time to open a practice of their own where they can specialize in preventative eye care, and affordable eye wear.

Business Owner

Dr. Theresa Taylor is co-​owner and co-​founder of Eye Q Optometry Inc. She grew up in Miramichi, NB where she returned to work for almost 3 years after completing a Bachelor of Science at UNB Fredericton, and a Doctor of Optometry in Waterloo, ON.

She made a big move to Calgary in 2010 and worked at various types of clinics to sharpen her skills and found she enjoyed the medical side of optometry the most. She is excited to learn of new changes to the AB government increasing the scope of practice to qualifying Optometrists all over the province.

Dr. Taylor is eager for the challenge of opening up this new clinic and being able to offer a full scope of service to people, whether it be diagnosing or monitoring medical conditions, removing foreign bodies out of the eyes, or making people look and feel amazing in new glasses or contact lenses.
