Eye Spy Optometry specializes in high quality, full scope eye exams and offers a large variety of glasses, contact lenses and sunglasses.

We strive to be different from other offices. At our office you won’t walk away wondering what happened. We take the time to explain your eyes to you and will help you know what you can do to keep your eyes healthy.

We do eye exams on children as young as six months old so feel free to bring in even the youngest members of your family! It’s never too early for a first eye exam!

Our emphasis is on customer service and ensuring that you have a great experience at our clinic! If you ever have any questions about your eyes or eye health you are always free to ask.

History

Established in 2014.

Eye Spy Optometry was founded after Dr. Ross, who lives in the neighbourhood, came to realize that there wasn’t an optometry office in the area to serve the needs of Calgary’s inner city. Now that we’re here our goal is to serve you for all of your eye health and vision needs!

Dr. Mark Ross attended the University of Waterloo for both his B. Sc (Hons) and his OD (doctor of optometry) and graduated in 2009.

When Dr. Ross first moved to Calgary he did not know anyone or have connections within the community. It didn’t take long though for him to get involved and soon he was singing with the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus as well as the award winning Spiritus Chamber Choir. He also volunteers as a youth leader with Friends Church. After the flooding in 2013 Dr. Ross did what so many other Calgarians did and rolled up his sleeves to help with the clean up.

Dr. Ross has also participated in a number of eye care missions. He has travelled to Zihuatenejo and Chiapas de Corzo, Mexico as well as Accra, Ghana to provide eye exams and glasses to people who otherwise would not have access to care. He also spent 2 months working in the Lions Sight First Eye Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi.

Dr. Ross is very excited to now serve the people of this vibrant neighbourhood.
