This is one of my favourite LD stores in the city. The people are friendly and helpful and they are always well stocked!

I frequent this London Drugs while I’m visiting the city. It’s great if I forgot my toothpaste or hairspray. One time I wanted to bring donuts home from a nearby shop and came here to look for plastic containers. I bought 2 large Rubbermaid containers that fit the donuts perfectly! And they were on sale too so that was a bonus. One time I came in to pick up a new baby card that I needed on short notice. Wish the store was brighter and bigger but it serves my needs. There isn’t usually a long line up and service is friendly. Great location and convenient!

Once upon a time, a hungry young Calgarian went into London Drugs. There had been a flood recently, and she could not purchase groceries at her local grocery store. This hungry young Calgarian also had an insatiable craving for nacho chips. She looked far and wide through the aisles of the London Drugs but alas! no nachos. Then entered a friendly, well-groomed London Drugs employee, who patiently and understandingly explained that, since there was a flood some items were in short supply. He speculated that, much like the hungry young Calgarian in front of him, many flood evacuees believed in the healing properties of a delicious, crunchy nacho chip. In a helpful and non-judgemental way, the friendly, well-groomed London Drugs employee offered to take a look in the back, just in case there was a backup in stocking. Alas, this effort was fruitless, as indeed the entire nacho-craving population in the Beltline had seemed to flock to the shelves of the London Drugs on 8th. The friendly, well-groomed London Drugs employee saved the day by offering alternate suggestions for salty, crispy, dippable snack foods that the hungry young Calgarian could consume, and lo! the afternoon was redeemed!

Super helpful and pharmacist with a delightfully dry sense of humor. clean, well stocked, gorgeous and helpful cosmetics clerk. Its a bastion of all those little personal things you need, fairly priced and well lit.

I am a big fan of London Drugs & visit several different locations regularly. This location is not my usual! The staff here are friendly and helpful, as they are at any location I have visited. Selection is great, with a wide range of almost anything you could possibly need! There is one draw back I have experienced. The pharmacy itself seems to be understaffed. I have had to wait in line for a significant amount of time — even when there was not much of a line customer-wise. My prescription was not even ready, even though my refill request had been submitted online 6 hours prior(& is a prepackaged prescription, so just needs to be labeled.) Service was STILL friendly though! Just do not go to this particular pharmacy location if you are in a rush. Tip: They will validate for an hour of parking with purchase!

On the East coast, it is always bizarre to hear of this alleged«London Drugs» chain. What do you mean a drug store that also sells electronics and appliances? The whole concept seemed so ludicrous! That is, until I walked in the store and realized that it was AMAZING. Where else in Canada can you get an HD monitor, a coffee maker, your prescriptions, and Taiwanese lobster chips in one place? This place is like CVS, Canadian Tire, Fry’s Electronics, T&T, and Consumers Distributing mashed together, on steroids. And to boot, the staff was so nice there. Take me here anytime!

Although I live near 17th Avenue SW, I have never entered this London Drugs; I usually just go to Shoppers Drug Mart for all my health and beauty needs. LD was having a great sale on the Magic Bullet and I wanted to just grab one and just leave and then I noticed this huge area in the back of the store. I was like huh? There in the back of the 8th Street location was this full electronics area. They were selling Televisions, cameras, printing accessories, computers, and entertainment units. I was in disbelief, all this year whenever I needed to get something electronic, I would have to traipse to the Chinook Centre or to Best Buy of Future Shop when only a stone’s throw away was a store that has it all. I decided to check out the makeup area and found amazing deals on makeup, perfume and health aids; in fact the whole store had the same products as Shoppers at hugely competitive prices. The service here is also spectacular; the woman at the beauty counter was incredibly personable and helped me with a couple of gift ideas. London Drugs I am now a huge fan.
