I used to be a regular but stopped going a couple years back because 1) their massage therapists were just so-​so and 2) their facialists always try to upsell you as soon as you lie down. I was in need of a treat today, so I hesitantly called to see if I could get in (all other places that offer online booking were booked). Nothing has changed. The massage therapist asked where to focus on, yet she completely skipped that area (I specifically wanted a massage for my right forearm tendonitis flare up). So that was a waste of time and money. Then, for my facial, the first thing I get is a suggestion to add on $ 60 of extras on to my already expensive treatment, so the rest of the treatment was awkward… not to mention I barely fit on the table and I’m only 5’8…I even told the lady yet she did nothing to offer to help make me more comfortable. Just a big let down. At least the apple I ate in between treatments wasn’t too bad

I have been going here for five years, but won’t be returning. I got a facial done, because I was attending a wedding and wanted to look nice. Instead, I ended up with terrible FACE BURNS and ALLERGIC REACTIONS. I couldn’t go anywhere for three weeks. My family doctor was horrified to see my conditions, and prescribed some medications for me. Oasis was prompt in getting back to me with the list of chemicals that were part of my treatment. I appreciate that, but it wasn’t worth it. I won’t be returning.

Will not go back. The place is old and out dated, they don’t have shellac, and both my mani and pedi were chipped by the time I got to my car (she only put one coat of polish on my toes and then I had my mani and then waited after the mani…). Everywhere else I’ve gone has the drying stations, but they don’t have them. I was also in there for over 3 hours for a mani/​pedi and was told each only takes an hour when I booked so I was late to another appointment across town. Also didn’t like that the lady who did my pedicure wore a face mask … my feet aren’t diseased!

I had taken my wife for our anniversary but there was a lot of construction going on so we could hear it during the treatment. It is good now after the renovation but parking is always a hassle during the day. Still a decent spot in Calgary. Not many great spa options in Calgary.

I leave relaxed every time. Repeat client. I keep trying new places for a massage because I don’t like the hassle and added expense of driving and parking downtown but I haven’t found one that compares. Spacious. Serene. Professional. Calm.

My wife had a massage and pedicure for $ 240 including tip. The polish bubbled and looks terrible. She went back an hour later and was told there was no one that could fix it until the following day. We were leaving out of town the next morning so that doesn’t work. They offered a 50% refund on the pedicure and that’s the best they could do. Do not go here. Avoid at all cost. Terrible quality and cannot stand behind their work.

Received a GC from a friend for a 60 minutes massage. My masseuse named Lola had great technique. Would recommend her to anyone who’s getting a massage at oasis. Change room is a good size. Has steam room and dry sauna. Change room equipped with showers that have shampoo, conditioner and soap. They provide hair brushes, hair dryers and body lotion. Spa offers cucumber water and lemon water, hot teas, and apples to snack on. Spa is pricey but a nice treat if you’re looking for a relaxing experience.

If it’s possible to give negative score here, I would! I had the worst customer service in this spa. In this review, I am giving pure facts and complete relevant details. If you are the owner of this spa, I don’t need any complimentary service whatsoever. I am here to (1) give my review so others can be forewarned (2) make the owner aware if in case this issue did not get brought up to their attention. Here it goes:
My husband made an appointment for massage for the two of us at 2pm today (April 10, 2015). We both showed up at the spa at 1:45pm. Because it was my first time in their facility (2^nd time for my husband), I was given a form to fill out and a tour of the facility. Everything’s still fine at this point. Changed to my robe and proceeded to the waiting area and met my husband there. My husband was picked up by his massage therapist. I was left alone… waiting…waiting…and waiting. At 2:14pm I proceeded to the reception desk and asked what time is my appt based on their records. They said 2pm. And also said that sometimes there’s a lag of 15 mins from the last appt and assured me that my therapist would come pick me up soon. I went back to the waiting area. And waited. Waited. Waited. At 2:32pm I went back to the reception desk and asked where my therapist is. This was the only time they realized their mistake. What specifically went wrong — not sure. Then they offered me a complimentary pedicure. To which I said yes (in my mind, I already wasted hours of my day might as well get something to cheer me up). They said the esthetician will pick me up in 5 – 10 mins. So I waited AGAIN. 20 mins have gone by, no esthetician. I then decided to just change and just wait outside for my husband. After my husband’s massage was finished, he found out what happened and confronted the reception desk. They again were offering me complimentary service — but after they have screwed up even the «complimentary pedicure service» they offered, I didn’t think they deserve to be given a 3^rd chance and let them waste my time again.
So if you are okay letting them waste your time, then feel free to book here.

Great service, absolute nightmare to book or deal with front desk unprofessional staff. Such a shame oasis used to be one of the better places in yyc! No relaxing experience at all. Make sure you pay what you are quoted! Shady pricing going on here !

It is not good to see Oasis getting a 3 Stars. I know Oasis for some time and I took a one hour massage with Michelle. Her massage can be rated at ⁸⁄₁₀. Oasis overall experience can be rated a ⁷⁄₁₀. But definitely not less than 7.
I am posting this review to test something. I am also owner of a small massage spa. And advertise in many channels even Unilocal.It seems there are issues with Unilocal,they try to filter out reviews in the guise of «not recommended» and ask the owner for advertising.
As I business owner it is terrifying to know how some people «Smear» (and you dont even know if they are your competitors) and do not take up complaints with the management directly but rather squeal in social network.
Also as a business owner I understand « Unilocal» is not the end of the world.
I believe in Karma and expect «unfair» business and practices die soon.

This place is the worst spa in the city. Not only is the staff rude, they hold no accountability for their actions. Everything is an excuse. I would NEVER go there again, as far as I am concerned they deserve to be shut down, and their lack of service and discrimination towards humans should be brought to the attention of the media. Don’t waste your money, there are far better spas that would actually respect and appreciate your business. This place isn’t even worth a dollar. I hope no one ever experiences their lack of service. The owners, and staff not only have lack of knowledge on their products and services, but they are straight up IGNORANT when it comes to human interaction amongst different types of people. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, unless you want to leave their feeling like less of a human for being who you are.

Had facials done with a friend. They were ok but not the best! Massages were definitely a better experience. Atmosphere despite the construction in the building is really nice. I recommend going here!

I’ve been there twice. The atmosphere is nice (egyptian deco), there a 3 relaxing rooms with water and tea, and a sauna and a steam room in the change room.
The first time I’ve been there was for a massage. The receptionist was welcomimg. The massotherapist was excellent and I felt very relaxed and relieved when I left.
The second time was for a Teye facial. The esthetician is supposed to use customized products based on our skin type. She actually proposed an upgrade, saying that the standard products would not be the appropriate. This is an additional $ 30. Same for my husband, $ 60 for 2 upgrades! I don’t think I will go again.

I went to Oasis a week ago to get a pedicure with the bridal party that I was in. We were 5 girls getting our feet done and I have to say I was impressed. Each of our esthetician led us to the pedicure room which was clean and inviting. I have to say that this was one of the best pedicures I’ve ever had. I had pretty bad cracked feet. I avoid doing anything for my feet so they needed a lot of tlc. My esthetician did an amazing job. She went to town on my heal, painted my toenails perfectly and I really liked the scrub and paraffin wax. I guess my only small complaint was that the wax was a little hot, but that cooled down quickly so I didn’t say anything. This place is a little pricier, but I can say the pedicures are worth the money.

A while ago, my mom and I decided to treat ourselves to pedicures here. The waiting room is quite nice. Our pedicurists came to get us, and everything started out alright. That is, until my pedicurist started lecturing me about how big my feet were (I have size 11 feet, I get it. My feet are big, no need to insult me!) and how I had fungus on my big toe. I actually went to my doctor a couple weeks after and he confirmed that I did not have fungus like this woman claimed. She kept trying to sell me some oils and also lectured me for shaving my legs the day before. She said «I much prefer when women don’t shave their legs, the lotion goes on easier». Ok that’s your preference, but I like to have my legs shaved. At one point, I was almost in tears because of how rude she was. When I have pedicures I want to relax, not be insulted. My mom was much luckier, her lady wasn’t trying to sell her products or insulting her in any way.
When we went up to the cash to pay, my pedicurist had left a bunch of oils and lotions for me. The receptionist started ringing in these items before I could tell her I did not want them. She rolled her eyes when I told her I was not buying the oils and lotions. So, if you want to get treated like crap by the pedicurist and have the receptionist be rude to you after your mediocre experience, then this is the place for you. Otherwise go to Stillwater or Lakeside, much better experiences there!

I’ve been to this spa twice now. Both times had a few annoyances, but overall I still like it and would recommend it to anyone.
The first time, I made an appointment, and asked the woman on the phone if there’s anything I should know/​do before coming, she said no, just some paperwork. I didn’t know until afterwards they have a steam room you can use. When I arrived, and filled out my paperwork, the lady at the counter asked if I had been there before, I hadn’t. She took me back to the change room, told me I could change there, and to go to the lounge when I was ready, and walked away. Where was the lounge? I’d never been there before, and didn’t know where anything was, I also didn’t know there was water and tea available for guests.
Once I was actually in for my massage, it was amazing! One of the best I’ve ever had. Which is why I give it 4 stars

I truly enjoy myself every time I go to Oasis. I usually just get the 60 min therapeutic massage (because it’s luckily covered by my benefits). I’ve been going here for about 2 years for 3 – 4 massages a year.
Customer service on the phone can certainly be improved as those that have answered don’t seem to be too interested in either their job or helping you out. But nonetheless when I get there the steam room is one of the hottest I’ve been in and usually I go when it’s not busy. They have good amenities although I like to bring my own products.
Most of the therapists are good but some are just too light and I get shy to ask for more pressure. Whatevs, don’t like to complain too much considering its Calgary. One of the best spa’s I’ve been to is Qua in Las Vegas and i don’t suppose anything in YYC can compare. Unless you have suggestions on a better place, for now, Oasis is my number one and I got the passport this year so all massages are $ 98!

I only went here because I received a Christmas present for a treatment. I have experienced much better places for a fraction of the price. I showed up early as mentioned on the site and waited outside while the girls behind the desk finished chatting before opening the door and letting 5 other people waiting with me into the spa.
Very curt service more appropriate for a medical walk-​in clinic. Folder with health forms was sticky and falling apart.
Dirty hallway, furniture and bathroom and extremely outdated. The body scrub treatment was alright but nothing special.
Save your money, go somewhere else.

Me Mudder-​in-​Law was in town and it was her BIRTDAY, so I brought her for a massage. While she got massaged, I decided to get a pedicure.
I cannot remember the name of the pedi lady, but my god was she aggressive. She was very curt and didn’t smile, and basically lectured me on my feet.
Fine, I have Donkey Kong feet, but jesus christ I don’t want a lecture about not getting pedicures more often. She also told me I shouldn’t have shaved my legs. Oh, my bad. Usually when I know someone’s going to be touching my legs, I SHAVE THEM. Call me OLD FASHIONED. There was definitely some up selling as well, but it just wasn’t enjoyable for me. I saw some other ladies getting their feet done next to me and they seemed relaxed and happy because their Nazi Lady wasn’t giving them the gears. Sigh.
All in all, this spa is very expensive for what it offers. I’ve also had massages here which weren’t bad, but overall this isn’t my favourite spa in the city. Another con is the parking as mentioned in other reviews. You basically have to park behind Devonish IF you can get parking.

First off this place is a dump!
secondly let me point out how there is no spa parking. that’s right, you only choice is to park in the parkade behind the spa and pay… Only 2 hour paid street parking, So you will be paying for parking in addition to your service…
Lets start at the beginning. The guy who booked our treatments over the phone… Fantastic!
He said come early and enjoy our amenities and relax, when your done your treatments we have everything you need to fix yourself up for the day.
#1, The men’s change room was under re no? It had half patch up walls, patched up shower stalls, and there was no shampoo anywhere to be found. The items they had to ‘fix’ myself up… Aqua Velvet, and Roberto Hair mouse… Honestly, am I 100 years old or in the early 80’s?
#2 The waiting room, Gross, take a look at all the stained furniture. I ask what high end spa has not heard of a furniture steamer… Filthy!
#3 The library… They have old free hotel magazines, ‘Where Edmonton”, Oct/​Nov 2010, Free Calgary Renovation Magazines, Dec2010 and the usual US Weekly and People, all well read from last year.

Men’s Facial $ 108.00
#1 As soon as I crawled in to the cold bed under the duvet the esthetician came in and turned on the bright Magnifying light, pointed it at my face and left it on for over 45 mins.
#2 When I was put underneath the steamer she sat in the room for the 15 mins… what was she doing? Staring at me? My friend who had the treatment in another room said her girl massaged her arms while she steamed… Jealous!
#3 When she did extractions she did not use pads on my eyes or goggles. Just the brightest light (which was on the whole time) 6 inches from my eyes. I’m lucky I’m not blind.
#4 I had a 5 o’clock shadow, at the start she toned my face but the cotton pad tore up in my facial hair, she never again did any work there, When I had my mask, she only applied it to my forehead, cheeks and nose.
#5 The towels she used to remove product from my face where luke warm, and if she wasn’t using a towel she was using Kleenex, I have never had my face wiped with a scratchy tissue at a spa
When I was done I was sent back to the filthy furniture waiting area, I went to library again in hopes to find something to read… Nope! Not unless I wanted to relive 2010.

#1 The esthetician was really nice, I went and sat down in an uncomfortable chair, unlike the nice massaging ones in the $ 20 places all around Calgary have, and had my nails did.
#2 She didn’t clip them, they were long but she said she liked them that way. so she just filed them unevenly
Now I should mention that I usually do them myself because I don’t trust that people won’t nip my fingers or that the job will be done below average… Ive included photos so you can judge for yourself.
I should also mention that I am a hand model. I’m sure my clients would love to see these photos.
I can’t imagine who thinks this place is not a dump… If you like a dirty spa experience, You have found your place.
If I were you, I’d head to Skoah, I know its in a mall and that’s weird, but, the beds have heating pads and the facialists give you the whole rub down. Not to mention the spa is super clean… I love the products and you’ll get a full mask application and warm towels when they remove it.
Sorry if someone has bought you a GC for Oasis… Have fun
