Nomad Mobile Gear Rental is a online/​mobile rental shop based in Calgary, AB. We are 100% mobile, delivering your rentals to your door — home, office, community centre, etc. We know how limited your time is. Rather than spend your time driving to a rental shop, waiting to try gear, and then returning it all, you can just open your door and there it will be.

We will ensure the gear you order fits properly when we arrive to drop it off. When you’re done with the gear, we’ll pick it up. Spend less time waiting to get your gear and more time using it!

At Nomad, we also offer the convenience of online rentals for ALL gear. We know that online isn’t for everyone, so feel free to give us a call and we’ll get you outfitted.

History

Established in 2015.

Nomad Mobile Gear Rental was created to serve busy professionals, travelers and families. Who are either to busy to get to the rental shop, don’t have a mode of transportation to get there, or they simply want the convenience of having their gear delivered to their door.

When Andrel says he grew up in a ski and bike shop he actually did!

Andrel’s family started a ski shop in Winnipeg, MB in the 1960’s and quickly became the premier ski and bike shop in the prairies. After working at the family business in his late teens and early 20’s, Andrel made the journey west where he spent his first six years supervising rental shops in Canmore and Fernie. He then spent the next ten working in Facilities Management in the oil and gas industry (but he never strayed far from the ski and bike industry)

In March of 2015, Andrel felt the need to get back to doing what he loved, and decided to open Nomad Mobile Gear Rental with his wife Kerry and their son.
