This Olly’s is a lot smaller than the big one in Bow Valley Square. That being said, they usually have a decent selection of soup and sandwiches and hot meals every day. I’ll admit coming here the first time was disappointing after frequenting Bow Valley for years. I got used to the hot breakfast buffet and awesome coffee selection. I usually just come here for soup. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is good. You can count on it for fresh and quality.

Let’s go! Let’s go! O-L-LY FRESCO! Olly Fresco’s is affiliated with Marcello’s but adds a lttle pizzazz that I appreciate. This particular Olly Fresco’s is located in the Ernst & Young building downtown. It’s much smaller than the Olly’s you’re probably familiar with, but boy is the service large. Upon entering you are immediately told of the specials, possible sides for your sandwiches and prices. They have a custom-made sandwich bar where you can choose your bread, meat, sauce cheese and veggies. There is also soup, pre-made items, desserts and coffee. At the register, I recognized a basket of goodies… as being AMERICAN goodies! Our friends of the south always overdue it with the chocolate bar varieties and the lovely man at Olly Fresco’s likes to import them for our Canadian enjoyment. He had white chocolate Reese, Cow Tails, Coconut M&Ms, Whatchamacallit, giant gummy bears, Mr. Goodbar — you name it! He also suggested if there’s one I want to let him know and he can get it for me! So exciting. My custom-made sandwich was delicious and the soup-du-jour was oriental chicken, also tasty. This is a fave for the peeps in the office, and I see why! I can’t wait to go back and find out what ELSE they have for daily specials! Make the trek to Ernst & Young ! 17⁄30
