Description

Specialties

Red Bush Tea and Coffee Company specializes in keeping the family businesses together so we share our space with The Candy Kid. In addition to having an absolutely smooth and creamy cup of coffee and/or a soothing and healthful cup of tea, you are able to enjoy your beverages surrounded by barrels and barrels of candy. What could be more fun than being like a kid in a candy store! Only you are getting your antioxidants and calcium at the same time. We offer over 80 loose leaf teas and 100% Fair Trade/Organic Arabica Coffee Beans. Everything has been taste-tested by us to ensure your satisfaction and enjoyment.

History

Established in 2010.

The tea shop originally started out in 2009 as Viva Tea in the new Sweetgrass Market off 85th Street SW near Aspen Woods. The market never got off the ground and all the vendors moved out in 2010. We changed the name to Red Bush Tea and Coffee Company and were looking for a new home when we found this fantastic building in Kensington. It was love at first mortgage payment and after a 5 month renovation where we installed a tin ceiling and wooden cabinetry, we opened our doors on December 5, 2011.
