Specialties

The House Coffee Sanctuary provides free-trade coffee and drinks including some small foods like sandwiches and bakery snacks.

We pride ourselves in being a hub of community for Kensington, and a leader in featuring local musicians on our stage 3 times a week.

History

Established in 2001.

The House Coffee Sanctuary was opened by First Alliance Church in November, 2001. Our purpose is to connect with the Calgarians by doing our best to serve our community in Kensingotn while offering an amazing cup of coffee and bite to eat.

The House prides itself with serving fair-trade organic coffee which ensures an improved quality of life from the farmer to the packer.

We’re also heavily involved with the artistic community. Artists are featured on our walls and local musicians take to our stage every week. We also run a variety of programs and events for our community, and our staff are committed to treating all of our customers with dignity and respect, going beyond what you’d find in a normal coffee shop.
