Although right alongside the airport, the new runway means a 10 minute shuttle ride from arrivals. Shuttle can be requested by calling the hotel or asking at the desk. Runs roughly every half hour until 0100. Great service from all staff both prior to and during our stay(quick overnight before taking the Rocky Mountaineer). The room is a little smaller than other Residencies I’ve stayed at, but well appointed and comfortable. Nice big desk for working if that’s what you need. High quality LG television and good selection of channels. And a word on the air conditioning. It works and it does what you tell it, which is distressingly rare in hotels these days. Breakfast is the standard fare, but none the worse for all that. They are also quite happy for you to pop your tucker on a tray and take it back to your room. Shower is cubicle only(no bath), which I like. Less risk of falling over and it means less water on the deck. All in all, one of the better Residence hotels I’ve visited and ideal if you need to be near the airport.

Great hotel, good food a few nights a week free of charge too. Perfect location for plane spotters as the hotel is right in front of one of the runways. Can’t remember which but it is the longest in Canada. I got some great shots here. HUGE rooms/suites and very comfy overall. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Calgary.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in a while and a lot nicer than other Marriots I’ve stayed at. We had a suite which was great. There was a lot of room and almost one whole wall was windows making it seem even larger. Kitchen had all of the necessities and the bathroom was a good size. Really enjoyed swimming in the pool, although a hot tub would have been nice. The free breakfast included everything you could want for breakfast– eggs, 2 types of bacon, French toast, waffles, etc., etc. Unfortunately, it’s not really near anything so you need to hop in your car if you want to go downtown and check out the sites.

I must say these Residence Inns are starting to grow on me. This property was just wonderful. Location is OK not great but convenient to the airport and my client. Late night check in due to weather delays, what’s new, could not have been better. Got an upgrade and a bottled water. This property is fairly new so everything was pristine. My suite even had a fireplace not that I needed it. Is it too much to ask you people, and you know who you are, to stop stealing the damn batteries from the TV remotes! Are things that bad? Front desk was happy to replace… The two big screen TVs were a welcome distraction and the channel selection is fine as well. I had no issues with WiFi as I get the high speed Comped. The breakfast buffet was above standard and fulfilling but the coffee MEH brown water at best. Starbucks next door at the Courtyard took care of my addiction. I loved their fitness center it was huge and clean with plenty of aerobic Equip weights and machines. There is even a stretching room next to the gym area. I would definitely return to this property. One thing I have noticed is that the Residence properties are really good or really good or really bad, no tweeners. So it’s best to check out the properties before reserving.

I’ve stayed here thee times and each time there has been an issue. At first I though it was because the hotel was new, and they needed time to wait out the kinks, but now it’s just having the wrong people in the wrong positions. The hotel is new and beautiful, rooms are clean and functional, however the staff is rude, ignorant, and treat their guests as if they’re idiots. They don’t listen before talking over you and always negative. Granted the management does do their best to rectify the situations, but the situation shouldn’t need to get to that level. Consistently the worst customer service I’ve had at a marriott ever.

Beautiful suites at this hotel. Probably one of the best Marriotts around. We came in at 1am with our luggage left behind. Front desk was so very helpful and found us toiletries right away. Very friendly ! Breakfast was pretty good too. Suites are very new… Some with fireplaces. Bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This has been the best Marriott stay that I’ve had! Everything was nice and clean and the one bedroom suite came with all the amenities I could ever need. I felt like I was at my own apartment. The complementary breakfast in the morning consisted of hot food — eggs, sausage, pancakes, and waffles, then there were also fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, and cereal. The indoor pool and gym were amazing! The shuttle was easy to book and when I was overbooked on an early morning shuttle out to the airport, the front desk paid for my taxi. Even though this hotel is not downtown, the hotel has easy access to the freeway leading there and also leading to hwy 1 to Banff. If you don’t believe me, take a look at the pictures! You won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely great property. Booked and stayed in a two bedroom suite with a couple of co-workers for a few days. Brand new hotel, less then 18 months ago. Great styling. Looks almost like an updated Starwood property. Free breakfast hit the spot after late nights and early mornings. Front desk staff was helpful and always present. Overall a great stay and a new and fresh Marriott property.
