Spirits of Edgemont II

First of all, why is this called «Spirits of Edgemont II»? Why the «II»? Is this a sequel to some other location? What the heck happened to the «Spirits of Edgemont I»?! Did it burn down in a horrible vodka-​fueled disaster? I’ve just never understood the reasoning behind the name.
Regardless, I like this place. I’m on their customer care program, but I have absolutely no idea what the hell it gets me or if there’s any tangible benefit to being on it. Still, they make sure to ask me every time. They’ve got my phone number AND my e-​mail, but I don’t think I’ve heard from them other than once when they invited me to a wine tasting by e-​mail. I didn’t go. Maybe I should have.
Anyways, I’ve stopped by this little place a few times when I was feelin’ a hankering for some quality hooch. For such a little place their selection is actually not too bad. It’s no Co-​op liquor, but in a pinch it’ll do. I love that they stock Mississippi Muds here (a half porter half pilsner beverage that will put hair on your chest and comes in a hilarious moonshine bottle).
Service has ranged from eerily cheerful young women on Saturday nights at 11:00 to somewhat oddball dudes, but most everyone is pretty nice.
I’d love to give this more stars but at the end of the day it’s a pretty average community liquor store. If you need booze, whip on over — but if you’ve got a bit of time, head to the Co-​op nearby for a bit of a broader beer selection.

I was at a nearby business when I thought I could check out Spirits of Edgemonts wine selection. The store is a decent size. The girl at the counter greeted me right away and asked is I needed any help. I told her I was looking for a nice red wine. She suggested one that I knew wasn’t what I was looking for, so I browsed around a bit. there is a excellent selection of popular wines. There were only a small shelf of Chilean and Argentinian wines, my favorites. The prices were all very affordable, they even had some great sales, $ 5 or $ 3 off! I asked the girl if she had tried one of the wines I had selected, she said yes and that it was a very nice choice. Their selection of liquors is pretty basic, but the prices were good. They have a huge cooler of beers. They also hold wine tastings throughout the year! Both the wines I got were delicious and priced well.
I really liked Spirits of Edgemont and will definitely return! I hope to try one of their tastings sometime soon. This is a great place to check out if you are a wino!
