Starbucks

Starbucks coffee tends to be bitter. Not too many Arabica beans in their brew, I guess. Their service is good, though!

I have been here almost a week now, visiting from Houston. As a starbucks junkie, while my hubby is busy working I am on the hunt for my morning coffee. I have visited many location in the area, trying to find a place to lay low in the morning till places open up. This location by far exceeds the many I have visited this week. The staff here are super friendly, the kind of friendly I am use to having my hometown in south Louisiana. My mocha coconut latte was delish!!! as well as made the fastest from all other locations, and made just the way I like it. If I were to live around here, this would be my go to starbucks for sure.

This is my most favourite location. For those who know me, I have a bit of a love affair with Lady Starbucks so that says a lot. I often stop here on my way to work in the mornings.
The staff make this location. They are quirky, friendly and love their jobs. I haven’t seen a ton of turnover in the last couple of years which says something. They smile easily, have common sense and sense (s) of humour and are FAST when it comes to service. Even if there is a little line I’m back in my car in about 2 minutes.
The store is always clean (I have been there later in the day so it isn’t just a morning thing) and there is ample seating for people who want to read a book, do a little work or have a conversation.
I like that there is a well used community bulletin board at this location-​it really feels like a neighbourhood café rather than a coffee giant chain. Despite being a stones throw from downtown, it doesn’t have the same hustle and bustle of a downtown location. From a people watching perspective there is always a mix of police, bus drivers, families, writer types and construction workers-​a little over everything.
While there are many solid Starbucks locations in the city, this is one I’d go out of my way for.
