That Schnitzel Place is a Calgary downtown restaurant offering internationally inspired schnitzel sandwiches. We do great traditional schnitzels from Austria/Hungary and Germany, and variations featuring flavours from around the world such as Italian, Thai, French, Greek and even a Canadian version.
Weekly features include even more international styles, like Mexican and Indian.
History
Established in 2011.
That Schnitzel Place started life as Vienna Lux, a hungarian restaurant in downtown Calgary.
The new owners realized that schnitzel was common in most countries of the world. Mexico, Japan, France, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Israel, Iran, Iraq and countless others.
The new concept came to life in September 2011 to rave reviews from both old and new clients. We’re the only schnitzel restaurant in Calgary that specializes in internationally inspired schnitzel sandwiches.

Business Owner
David has a great deal of business experience but has never owned a restaurant until That Schnitzel Place. Surrounded by friends and family, David’s vision was to give Calgarians unique food in fun and caring environment. His vision is to provide great customer service and treat customers like part of the family.
