Sushi & Japanese Restaurant

I ordered a lunch combo and the special item which was an egg roll was cold straight out of the fridge. Why?

This used to be the favorite sushi restaurant for my boyfriend and I. It stood out from Sushi California because of their good pricing yet still delicious food. However, their recent menu change not only raised up the price, but the portion also decreased drastically. The food quality stayed the same as far as i could tell. We used to love the Master Lobster boat, it was a really good portion at a very reasonable price. Our most recent visit I took two of my best friends with me to enjoy some good food. When we ordered the boat, not only the portion decreased by half, it was missing parts of the combo. As I been there many times I knew there are things missing. When I asked the server, he insisted everything was served. The manager was brought over and she was not pleased with our complaint (and showed it). The issue was solved in the end, we were given what they missed. Nothing was comp-​ed in the end and since it was not a good experience, I don’t think I will be going back again.

When my boyfriend and I arrived at Sushi& on a Saturday night, we were nervous because the place was relatively empty. There were two tables taken out of the whole place. I’d been here once before for takeout and was impressed by their food and prices.
Our waitress was very kind and took care of us well — helped that it wasn’t busy. We ordered a chicken teriyaki, a tuna tataki roll, and a specialty roll (name escapes me). The food was quick and delicious! You could actually taste and enjoy the subtle details and textures of the food. The fish was fresh and flavourful as well. Our most recent visit to Sushi California was a dramatic opposite to the food and service we received from Sushi&.
The only downside to the meal was that I found the chicken’s texture to be «off» in the teriyaki. Looking closely it was like Subway chicken where there’s no texture and it tasted rubbery. The sauce and veggies were good though.
We found the prices to be cheaper than Okoman and the food to be more tasty and thoughtful than Sushi California. We will definitely be back!

Giving their nearby neighbour «California Sushi» a run for their money, I was pleasantly surprised to see this restraints interior upgrades and their comparable menu to the dominant sushi restaurant up the street.
The chefs here definitely take pride in their craft and do a great job putting together the sushi and decorating the plates well.
The service here was actually quite good, however it is worth mentioning there were only 6 other customers than myself maybe at lunch hour.
I would probably come here again for a 2^nd opinion, but it’s good to know there is another well priced and creative sushi option in the North Road area!

Love this place — their prices are great and everything tastes good. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Their green tea (on the house) is delicious.

We came here as an alternative to Sushi California which was down the street and probably about an hour wait. The service is good and the food is not too bad, it was empty compared to most restaurants so they can cater to you at any time. I would def recommend if you don’t want to wait to Sushi California.

It’s ok, the deep fried California roll had good texture but everything else was meh.

Our sushi hot spot!!! They have the best staff and the food is great! Very affordable and serving is big!!!
