I went there recently for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness & organization of the store. Nice, wide aisles with none of that junky feeling. Very fair pricing with a friendly, informed staff. Top marks!

I love thrift store shopping for clothes. I think it’s the thrill of the hunt and the possible discovery of bargains. Anyway, on a scale that goes from Salvation Army Thrift stores on the low cost end to Value Village on the expensive end, I’d say that Goodies falls somewhere in the middle, more towards the Value Village prices. The store was very well and neatly organized, and was also spotless. The staff were super friendly and they had comprehensive stock… no empty racks standing around. Would recommend and return

Went there for the first time the other day, organization was surprising(clothes are sorted by colour and it makes finding things so much easier!) and lots of space so it didn’t feel overwhelming. Prices were cheaper than other thrift stores around and the staff was really friendly. My experience there was great overall, found some nice sweaters for a great price and then I found out they had a student discount which made me even happier. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the shoe racks could use a little bit of order, I spent a little bit of time looking at them but was a bit confused on whether there was a system of sorting sizes or not.

I was pretty excited when I heard a Goodwill thrift was opening up in Dartmouth. I’ve visited a few locations on my travels and have always found really great things. Like most thrift shops, it’s the luck of the draw. You can’t always have a great thrift haul. I mean, it’s a thrift shop, not a retail store. On my third trip to Goodies I finally lucked into a couple things. The prices are regular thrift prices, comparable to Value Village pricing. Ten dollar dresses, seven dollar sweaters, the standard for Nova Scotia. I know other Goodwills have monthly sale days. I haven’t heard of that for this location yet, but keep your ears peeled if you’re a bargain, bargain hunter like me, AKA: cheap as hell. Hey. I can’t help it if I enjoy the company of cheap clothing. I don’t enjoy clothing I pay an arm and a leg for as much as thrift items. Let’s be real… I’m more than likely going to wear something a handful of times and then re-donate it. Also, it’s easier to take fashion chances when that furry vest only cost five bucks…
