Great coffee selection, nice staff. My kids love the treats(brownies, cookies etc). You can tell they get a lot of regulars, lots of corporate types grabbing lunch and old folks having soup in there on most days.

Local Café/Sandwich shop without screaming that they are local. You have to be aware. Coffee from local coffee roaster Java Blend. Baked goods from Julian’s. I had the breakfast burrito, it was fantastic. I’ll admit that I was drawn in by the pride flag hanging proudly in their window, but was not disappointed by the selection of breakfast and lunch items on the menu. Free wi-fi while you enjoy your coffee and meal. Not much to mention in the way of tea however. Wheel chair accessible. Just noticed they have I’ve cream for the summer starting in June. Chapman’s! Going to have to make a special trip in just for that.

We were up to Eye World to order contacts and as it was lunchtime and we were hungry we decided to check the local flavour next door. The service was very friendly and asked how the customers were doing on a regular but not overdoing it frequency. They have a lot of variety on their menu, but we stuck with the Grilled Cheese. I got Bacon on mine, she got Ham. We swapped a half each. Both were good, but we both preferred the ham. A nicely smoked flavour to it. The bread was grilled enough(I could always use a bit more) and the cheese was a traditional cheddar(I can always use a little more cheese too). Decent price too — 4.99 for the sandwich. I got a Chai which was good also. Somewhere for you Russell Lake/Portland Estates folks to try for your coffee fix. Also, they seem to have some decent mini deals. They also get some of their baked goods from Julien’s.
